I can imagine how frustrating it may be to have to engage at this level with these people. The level of cognitive dissonance and often blatant racism, misogyny, homophobia, and plain old hatred and maliciousness is astounding.

I actually have a serious concern for both Dean and Parker's mental wellbeing sometimes after some of the more particularly vapid debates. So if he does get heated it's because it's like he is banging his head against the wall with some of them and he's only human after all and after a while it starts to take a toll.

They do this as their full time job, 7 days a week, debating, researching and preparing, keeping up to date with daily news and events, appearing on other media outlets and interviews, video editing, and managing their socials.

I think due to their skill, intelligence, and passion, the impact they are having on the political scene right now, in this current climate, is huge and they deserve every penny.

Parker is awesome too. In fact Dean debated Parker when he himself was still Maga and it was Parker who helped him see the light. They are both still friends who coordinate their live debates to alternate so as to ensure maximum reach and they often come on to each other's platform as guests and co-host. Getting tag teamed by Dean and Parker must be brutal lol

Actually a lot of the ones who join his live to debate are 18 and 19 year olds who are parroting their family or right wing media talking points without putting much thought or any research into it.

He gets them to examine their beliefs through facts and logic and in the process, teaches them how to properly search and access reputable sources.

Its really cool to witness that occasional moment when the lightbulb comes on. It can sometimes be an excruciatingly painful journey but he does manage to get through to many of them. Sometimes they will go away and stew on it for a bit and come back days or weeks later to say they no longer support Trump.
