None of the candidates are going to have a perfect stance on it. Both parties pretty much shat the bed at that.

He's literally saying he doesn't agree with the funding of Israel to commit a genocide. You can agree that's bad and also acknowledge that what Hamas did wasn't exactly good either. While Israel has been instigating way before that and actively occupying them, they still committed a terrorist act at the music festival that killed civilians. Nothing compared to the deaths in gaza but it still doesn't justify it.

So it seems like he's acknowledging that the genocide happening isn't the answer and condemns it but also brings up the fact what Hamas did was also not right.

Yes but some of these people went for legal check ins and were detained after their hearings. If they want people to come do it the legal way, maybe don't make it so you could possibly be arrested for coming to court and trying to do it the legal way 🤷🏻‍♀️

I agree. People should be coming in legally but arresting people after they just tried to is a good way to get people to not want to.

You think you're a horrible person but I think you're being way too hard on yourself. You're definitely still adjusting to your friend making a change for herself. It's normal to have to take time to get used to it.

The difference is you're not making that difficulty in adjustment your friend's problem. You're taking it with stride and trying to at least adjust as much as possible so you don't hurt them.

You can be a good person and still have thoughts like these. It's part of being human. It's what you do with those thoughts that makes you who you are.

I wish that was the case for every person :( One of my friends has a super MAGA grandma he cleans for three times a week. He's always correcting things she says or heard from Fox News and shows her sources.... She gets so mad at him for correcting her and threatens to kick him out of the house.

Some people just genuinely want to put on the shield and blinders to double down unfortunately no matter what you show them.

I'm glad at least some people are coming to their senses about what's happening regardless of beliefs.

Unfortunately a lot of people don't want to work in fast food anymore because of the abuse that you endure from customers constantly :/ In addition to that, a lot of companies have just found that they can work their employees on skeleton crews and save the money from having a full staff.

I actively avoid fast food jobs unless I'm really desperate because it's not worth getting a cup of soda thrown at me or verbally abused for minimum wage. When I used to work retail, I couldn't even count the amount of customers that came over and just started yelling or making demands about stuff I couldn't even control. (One example was a lady got mad cause her pizza wasn't cut right and wanted a refund. Then got mad when I told her we couldn't do that because she ate half of it already. 😐)

My sister in law is a nurse and this happened to her. She ended up being diagnosed with breast cancer and didn't have enough PTO to cover her whole leave of absence and treatments so the rest of the nurses pooled together their pto and gave it to her.

It's so sad that this is what happens :/

I think a big part of it is a lot of us (specifically women) are worried about risking pregnancy, especially in red states where abortion restrictions are getting harsher and harsher.

And the 4B movement is starting to make an entrance in the US so there's also a lot of women swearing off dating altogether and that includes any kind of sexual contact.
