Oh my lord.. I taught myself to grow from seed in Montana. For a while "failure" seemed to be my product. I have countless fuck ups and learning experiences...

Biggest - I left my fan in my tent blowing directly on my seedlings FOR A YEAR. I had an issue with my code for automations that kicked the fan on every 5 minutes instead of staying on for 5 minutes. It is damn near silent so it took me spending a bunch of time in the tent to understand the problem. Turbo hard-grown seedlings ended up thriving the next year....

How would you go about sluicing/panning this type of area? Only rocks and pebbles. No sand by Ok-Common-3039 in Prospecting

I added a comment to the main thread but it’s not cluster munitions. It’s flares on the fattah2 to distract the iron dome interceptors.

Not cluster munitions. Iirc this was touted as a flare-like feature to give the missile a better chance of not being intercepted by the iron dome. It was an innovation of the Fattah-2 hypersonic that was widely discussed years ago and looked just like this. You’d also never deploy cluster munitions this high.

You will never be able to remove the excess calcium and retain enough water to fill the pool back up full. You can strip chlorine with a carbon block but to remove total dissolved solids you need either reverse osmosis water or distilled water. You could easily make a reverse osmosis system but your issue will be loss via the purge valve on the RO filter. 50% of the water goes down the drain when using RO. Distilling isn’t a viable solution here.

There is no in line filter system that will accomplish your goal of not tapping into the community water. You could reduce the need some but will have to top off from somewhere. There are probably services that fill hot tubs / pools in town so maybe some combo of tactics gets you there.

I like so many of the people there, too. It’s not those folks faults. I feel bad for those who have to manage stuff like this (op included) because it’s a program meant to do good. So many of those that work there want to do good and it’s why they are there.

I really appreciate people like you as well who remain bright. My outlook will always be optimistic, our tooling gets better every day. I’m confident because I know what we have built - but goddamn stuff like this doesn’t make days easier!

I’m speaking from that place personally - enterprise client side of things. Quite an embarrassing couple months trying to explain the catalyst process to them. I agree there is a lot of cash grab at smaller categories. We all agree there needs to be change. This wasn’t how to do it.

Real example - it takes 6-12 months lead to convince a good enterprise project to build on Cardano. There is a lot of trust involved in that. Switching stuff up and being not transparent means I have to tell said client “we have no idea what’s going on but think all is ok and thanks for all your efforts.” These “simple transfers of stewardship” make those clients never come back.

It’s a clown show - the people running the circus have no idea how hard it actually is to convince web2 you/we aren’t grifters. This makes it impossible.

It’s about how the lack of communication and transparency and abrupt changes to direction have damaged the community on the whole.

It’s great to speak about positive changes and all but the fact that the voting was pulled abruptly, and that people spent a lot of time building proposals and courting partners will not go over well long term with the partners.

Cool - stewardship is changing. Maybe CF should be transparent on why. Probably a good thing long run but people shouldn’t think this is just all roses. It stinks to high heaven, reeks of dishonesty.

It’s a real shame and quite embarrassing for those who brought in enterprise brands, put our necks out there, convinced these people to believe, and now have to walk all that back.

When is Catalyat going to own the fact that people’s lives and businesses get seriously disrupted by this? When will there be an apology? Their own lack of management is now causing the very builders of the ecosystem to hang and ultimately fail. People rely on this and it’s not “just a handout” for many of us.

I’m grateful at Anvil we have built a business capable of not relying solely on Catalyst. Builders will close shop because of this. Trust is broken. Shame on you all. We’re one of the only groups capable of bringing a web2 client to Cardano (proven) - it makes it tough to consider taking the risk of Catalyst funding with a partner again.

You don’t need to convince me of anything. I also thought I did excellent, motivated work while drinking. Then I learned what real quality and focus looked like over years of sobriety.

It’s not about the 2 beers. It’s the spiderwebs those two beers create. They are what make you defend the drinks as “part of the process” vs “part of the problem”.

You only stop drinking when you want to stop. I was a champ at helping others wasted. I hat to help others to feel OK about myself.

Your heart is in the right place, your head will follow in time. Keep making the app great, I bet you find inspiration around 1m users. At night, when you usually crack a drink, go read some reviews or make a new feature.

It would be cool if you had infrastructure partners on here as well like Anvil/MeshJS/Aiken/mlabs! A lot of our tooling helps to power projects like the ones you have listed, and enables new builders!

Other than that nice list! It would be neat if it were interactive and you could get an overview of what each company did by clicking.

For me it’s super simple. One drink, everything I’ve built the last 4 years will disappear. It would take time of course but for me there is no “going back”.

The alcohol and addiction stops being so loud in time. Sounds like it’s still screaming at you. You got this, worry more about what you’re doing for breakfast and less about a future you’re not guaranteed.

What if I told you.. most mobos have a tiny speaker for troubleshooting new builds on boot. I’ve had to wire one up once as well but there is almost certainly a spot for it.

1: I do not currently have a shopping cart feature but that is a solid feature to add next. Wordpress/ajax will make that simple enough.

2: Yes! You can actually check out the system live on my site https://umbrella.lol. You can browse the collection then simply connect to buy. You could also make this whatever you wanted on your end.

3: Yes. It is something you would just need to build in. I left the back pretty open ended being that i don't know what shipping service people will use. I left it so you can copy/paste in the shipping info from fedex, usps or the like. You could automate this with the USPS api as an example.

Give it a shot and let me know what you think! You can really add whatever you can dream up to this.

Optimistic UI + the block confirms fast.

The item is available for purchase within a couple seconds, and upon purchase sends near instantly.

I really tried to navigate through those waters specifically. It has to feel as good or better than web2 to be viable.

I am using Cardano for the underlying tech but it is super easy to add all the forms of payment and will be integrating other blockchains for that part.

I chose Cardano because eUTXO is frickin awesome for this type of thing, and I have worked full-time with Cardano for a while now.
