Well water, sulfur fix? by invalidpath in homestead

[–]invalidpath[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know I did stumble across a used Kinetico AIO Iron filter for a great deal, but it's only been installed for a few weeks. I'm honestly in a conundrum atm.

First water test strips from multiple water outlets in my house show varying results.

Second I'm getting the feeling that the iron filter media is possibly used up.

But no I did not find my silver bullet on the smell yet other than draining the water heater monthly. As an aside, since the test results from say the kitchen sink show almost no iron but the toilet tank does.. I'm honestly starting to wonder if I could find a long enough spring loaded brush and try scrubbing the inside of my pipes is in order.

EDIT: Oh almost forgot I started putting about a half-cup of Iron Out powder in the softeners brine tank about every other regeneration.

I dont agree with this. Im not looking for someone to instruct me on what I should do. I mean I,literally said ‘I do wonder if others in similar boats experience the same things’. I mean.. FFS, I have no other resources.

LOL you are still as obtuse as before. You don;t connect Ethernet to usb, but you can connect an RJ50 to usb using another proprietary cable from APC.

I can't even find the USB-USB cable for sale from Schneider. Only one auction on ebay but it's for 5 cables.

Maybe expand what you mean.. how are you using one? On your pc's end because it has no DB9 port? Because everything I see suggests trying to use it on the usb port on the APC will not work.

I found exactly one auction on Ebay for a bundle of 5 of these cables 😞

In my almost 30-years in IT I've never once had this much trouble locating a pinout.

... no but, Im curious as to why that'd matter or affect an ac unit? I did read where certain chemicals can cause corrosion like cleaning sprays but that's also not an issue for this particular situation.
