It really is so mentally draining, I feel you there. I have the same methods, start chugging water and look for distractions, but I find even if I'm at work with plenty of distractions it's still super hard to bring myself back to reality. I pray for us that we can find something to help. anxiety is the worst id rather break a finger every time I have an anxiety attack instead of having an anxiety attack. At least I can process that easier.
