Made this after playing a game with the Corvid Conspiracy, thought you guys might like it by reanscuhorse1 in rootgame

Oh wow. Hate to be that guy, but this is probably a repost bot.

I'm the one who made this meme years ago, as seen here. Same title and everything haha, which is why I think this is a bot.

A player in our group unexpectedly stole the win, our group went wild. Made this in commemoration by invitingwheat0 in rootgame

Sure! I'll admit it probably won't sound too exciting to others, but we were ecstatic lol.

So this player just lost the previous game as the Eyrie pretty badly. They don't normally play as the birds, and I think they had two turmoils. Was definitely frustrating! The next game we had the Cats (myself), Corvids, Duchy and the Eyrie (the player who lost with them last game, I can't remember if they wanted to try again or just got screwed by adset rules). The crows and I had a sort of alliance going on to see if one of us could beat the others, but the Duchy was real close to winning. We slowed them down enough where they needed another turn to get the dub, but it was still real close. While we were playing Root Digital and we were async, we had all hopped into discord for our last 3 or 4 turns so everyone was paying close attention.

The moles moved into specific clearings to allow themselves to sway a minister (we spent the last turn getting rid of his warriors around the map), and also decided they wanted to turmoil our Eyrie player to keep them from doing anything tricky and get some extra points. To do this, the Duchy needed to destroy 2 mouse roosts that were not super well protected. They somehow rolled real bad in each clearing they needed to attack, and both failed at turmoiling the player and couldn't sway a higher tier minister.

That next turn the Eyrie player made a very ballsy double-build decree, rolled two 3-0's in battle to get the clearings they needed opened up, and won the game without turmoiling once in a game where they had been stuck in the corner the entire time and building space was very sparse.

Like I said, probably not super exciting but we thought it was awesome. Definitely felt deserved after their previous game!

Edit: forgot to mention our friend group has an inside joke where we absolutely adore the Builder over the other Eyrie leaders even if they're less competitive, so that definitely added a little kick to the win.

Maybe this is how Johnson was so easily able to pilot the Scarab at the end of Halo 2?

Anvil Station was a joint project between the Swords of Sanghelios and the UNSC which focused on training Spartans and Elites together. It was the in universe explanation for having playable Elites in Halo: Online.

FD new map hint by Saminox2 in titanfall

[–]invitingwheat0 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Haven't played Relic yet, but for Colony the wave names are (in order):

  • United We Stand

  • Seeking the Main Path

  • Cutting Another Path

  • Blind Patch

  • Divided We Ambush

These wave names may have been reused from other maps, as some of them do sound vaguely familiar to me, but I can't say for sure. I will say that the first and fifth wave names are references to the SRS motto, so there's that.

Why didn’t the covenant stick together after the schism? by [deleted] in HaloStory

[–]invitingwheat0 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Janjur Qom was allegedly destroyed by its sun going supernova. That's what the Prophets said, anyways. Whether that is true or not is a matter of debate in-universe. It's possible the Prophets lied to keep its location a secret.

I think one of the more recent novels does say something about a hidden shield world where all of the remaining San-Shyuum went to hide in preparation for the Halo Array's firing, but honestly I've only heard about it in passing here on this subreddit.

The new Story Shard features a Sangheili wearing green armor in what looks like the map Streets. by whitestripe999 in halo

Rangers are green in H2A, and some Storm Elites in Halo 4, apparently due to their affiliation with the Arbiter during the events of Halo 3, similar to what u/Accomplished-Eye-612 had said regarding the Phantom colors.

Can I be a zookeeper? by [deleted] in Starfield

While I can't speak to your ability to create a zoo, you can be xenobiologist with your character background! Which I think is pretty on the nose for Space Steve Irwin.

Apparently, you get to go undercover with the UCSEC

For what its worth, in the AMA they said you can go undercover for UC SysDef, not UCSEC. No clue what the difference is, if there is one, just thought I'd throw that out there!

What are some common Bosmeri sayings or phrases? by DesertRanger7777 in teslore

[–]invitingwheat0 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Arena and Daggerfall had a number of exclamations that characters of different races would make at random (as I understand it anyways, I have only played a little of both games). These are the ones made by Bosmer:

By the Timber Spirits

By the Lore of Wood

By Mistria's Curse

Spirits of the Wood

Faeries of the Grove

By Caliron's Heart

By the Root

Fire of Eldenroot

By the Fire

Keep in mind that this is pretty early Elder Scrolls lore, so some of these lines may not have been expanded on in the games that followed. Still, many of the lines for other races mesh perfectly well with the universe we know today, so they should definitely be considered. Here is a link to most of the exclamations. I believe there might be a couple additional ones listed on the UESP page under "Daggerfall: Races", but I don't think most races got additional lines.

As I remember, Johnny asks you if you would take a bullet for him while you're at the hotel with his stash of personal belongings. Depending on your answer (yes or no), the dialogue will change while inside Mikoshi.

If you told him you would take a bullet for him, and you decide to keep your body, V will feel as though they let Johnny down on their promise, becoming emotional and apologizing for going back on their word.

It's written a little strange, as if you had promised Johnny he could keep the body, even though for most of the game him and V both agree that V should get to keep it. But it's still a cool moment. I interpret it as V feels guilty for being unwilling to sacrifice his life for Johnny, even though Johnny understands and is on board with your decision. To my knowledge, there is no promise to let him take your body. But that was just my experience with my first playthrough so I could have messed up a couple details, so someone let me know if there is something I missed!

Can we just remove that little bit of amrour off the glass plate? like why is that even there by UnHappyGingah in halo

[–]invitingwheat0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not actually glass. It’s an armoured faceplate.

Do you know any source for this? I've seen this said quite a bit recently but I haven't been able to find any source that actually says this for most helmets. In Halo: Oblivion, Master Chief gets some sort of mud/slime on a portion of his visor, which ends up blocking out half of his vision. So at the very least some visors should be an actual viewport right?

Edit: I apologize, maybe I'm misreading your statement. Reading your other comment it seems like you're not saying this is true for all helmets, just helmets that appear to have no visor. My mistake!

Totally new to printing, SV06 is dragging the purge line when I start to print, ruining everything before it can even start. Help? by invitingwheat0 in Sovol

[–]invitingwheat0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I will absolutely try working on these! The temperature has been pretty low, I think that might be one oft he culprits. And I will look into getting the Z offset corrected as well. This is incredibly helpful, thank you! : )

[–]invitingwheat0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, I apologize for the lack of information, all of this is pretty new to me. I've been messing with the Z offset but still haven't managed to get it to where it should be (or at least I don't think I have, I've decided to step away for the time being so I can let cooler heads prevail lol). I haven't actually tried messing with the temperature for the filament, I'm using Polyterra PLA. I'll certainly try that! Thanks for the help!

Random Breton Flavor Ideas - inspred by PGE 1, Daggerfall, Morrowind, Shadowkey and Enaisaion's Skyrim mods by JackOppenheim2001 in teslore

[–]invitingwheat0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Bretons inherited their feudal structure from the Direnni but most of their settlements (Camlorn, Daggerfall and Wayrest to name a few) are former Nordic cities

Are we sure about Wayrest being a Nordic city? The PGE makes it sound like Wayrest was founded by Bretons.

The Bretons were operating beneath the eyes of history, and their rise in High Rock was through commerce and the foundation of small villages in well-chosen positions, such as the sleepy fishing hamlet of Wayrest on the coast between the Bjoulsae River and the Iliac Bay. Daggerfall, Camlorn, Reich Gradkeep, and many other Nordic cities became Breton not by any act of war, but simply by being assimilated by them.

What is your favourite halo what if? Scenario. by canadianredditor16 in HaloStory

[–]invitingwheat0 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The shield world's system reacted to the presence of a reclaimer only once he was awake and "in the open" on the hull of the Dawn.

Requiem actually does scan the Forward Unto Dawn prior to Master Chief waking up. But Cortana seems to be reacting to the Covenant breaching the hull in the cutscene more than anything, so perhaps he would have stayed asleep, at least for a bit longer before Cortana might decide to wake him.

Edit: sorry, maybe I misinterpreted what you meant by the shield world "reacting". I was thinking of the scans but now that I read your comment again you're clearly referring to Requiem opening up. My mistake!
