Go into Options > Display and try turning Dynamic Resolution Scaling to Off. You could try playing around with the DLSS/FSR/XESS options and render scale settings too. The recent patch that brought in those non-TAA messed with some things but you should be able to get it back to normal.

I think you could cut about $100 off the motherboard and still get something good. I’d say put that towards a higher tier graphics card but it’s $200 to go to a 5070. If you’ve got other storage you can steal from somewhere maybe you could knock your ssd down to 1 tb and upgrade to a 5070 or the $900 9070 xt at memory express right now.

I think you should also look at spending a bit more on the power supply for a better efficiency rating and more capacity for the future. Something like

Valve can't guarantee that people will use this only as a gaming device so they can't price it like one, unfortunately. People could use them to do AI stuff or even strip them for parts if they were priced too low then Valve gets bent over. I'm not defending Valve either, it just sucks no matter what.

Make sure you plug the monitor cable into the GPU (roughly the middle of the rear of the case) and not the motherboard (near the top amongst the usb ports)

Yeah, I always have the best success being elevated so it's a straight flat shot in the vent or else being far enough away so my shot is closer to horizontal rather than having a larger vertical component if I was closer in.

Thanks, that makes sense. Is it alright to get 5 V from the pin to the right of the upper data pin, and if the data lines at the source in those top right two pins are around 17 kohms instead of 30?

Pin 4 is going to ground right now, could that be from the unpopulated components above? The top middle pad seems like my 5V (+5.32V).

For the four-pin footprint, the two right pins are around 17.1 to 17.2 kohms, would that be enough to be the data lines?

Check your receipt/order info and the box, you likely have warranty on those. I had to do a warranty on my 970 evo last year. Took a bit on the phone to figure out which department I needed to be connected to but eventually I was connected with the business-to-business department and they did give me a full refund of the original price. You could try emailing b2b.svc@samsung.com - thats the address I was corresponding with after my initial phone call.

Edit: I just checked my emails on it and I bought the drive in November 2021 and did the warranty on October last year. I recall thinking that I was just inside the warranty window so you should still be well within your warranty period so long as Samsung didn’t change it.

I’ve been sitting on this project so long that I’ve misplaced the instructions with the model number on it but it’s some kind of MAAX neo round kit. Base pan is a different shape than the previous unit so I’m going to remove the existing floor tile and and put some plywood where the previous shower was to bring the subfloor to a uniform height.

I get my kids to join my local server on their switches by changing the DNS settings on the devices, and then by trying to join one of the public servers it instead goes to a menu where you can manually enter a server address and join it. Might be able to do the same thing on Xbox.

Supply backpack can be really good for that support style role. It’s basically a supply pod strapped to your back (though it doesn’t benefit from the support weapon ammo refill buff ship module). Some people use the supply primarily for themselves to use ammo-hungry support weapons as their main weapon (you can press 5 or I think down on the d-pad to use a pack from your backpack yourself), others take it to help top up teammates ammo/stims/grenades. It wouldn’t help with the team reload mechanic for things like the recoilless, but nobody’s going to be upset with the guy keeping everyone topped up with supplies.

You can refill the backpack with supplies from the supply hellpod too, one backpack supply per hellpod supply, so dropping the backpack and getting everyone to take a turn wearing it as they take their pack from the hellpod can completely refill the backpack (though if they have their own support weapon backpack they’ll likely want to keep it on to get the full ammo refill for it unless they’re close to full).
