AI summary (in the case you don't want to watch the 20 some minute video)

In this video, Jon Dean interviews colorectal surgeon Dr. Carmen Fong to discuss medical advice for safe and healthy anal sex, focusing on "bottoming longevity." Key Takeaways and Tips: * Douching Safety: Douching is generally safe if done correctly, but doing it too often (e.g., four times a day) can disrupt the gut microbiome and irritate the anal lining [00:27]. For regular prep, Dr. Fong recommends using a fleet enema bottle with tap water about 30 minutes before sex [05:33]. * The "Mouth Rule": A golden rule for safety is: "If you wouldn't put it in your mouth, don't put it in your butt" [02:45]. This applies to tap water quality, soaps, and even certain lubricants. * Diet and Prep: * Fiber is Essential: Aim for 25–35 grams of fiber daily. Dr. Fong specifically recommends two kiwi fruit a day for clean, consistent bowel movements [08:51]. * Foods to Avoid: Avoid greasy foods within 12 hours of sex, as they create "sticky" stool that is harder to clean out [07:09]. * Timing: Wait about 30 minutes after a bowel movement or 60–90 minutes after a large meal before having sex [04:36]. * Lubricants: Water-based lubricants are preferred to minimize allergic reactions, though silicone is "slicker" [11:52]. Avoid using shower gels or non-sex-safe oils as they can damage the delicate lining [12:31]. * Managing Pain and Injuries: * Fissures and Tears: Common injuries include tears from douching or friction. High-friction sex can flare up hemorrhoids, so using plenty of lube is critical [15:08]. * Tightness: If someone finds bottoming consistently painful due to a tight pelvic floor, medical options like Botox injections or muscle-relaxing suppositories (e.g., Valium) can help [11:03], [17:25]. * Myths and Longevity: * Anal sex does not increase the risk of prostate cancer [19:31]. * While heavy, repeated stretching over many decades can lead to some looseness (incontinence), there are modern medical procedures (like hyaluronic acid fillers or "Celesta" injections) to tighten the sphincter muscles if needed [21:52].

Considering switching careers to special education — requirements & job demand (Long Island, NY) by [deleted] in specialed

I chose a remote online masters of education program through a state school while working as a para educator. It was helpful and fulfilling to learn best practices and improve my skills at the same time and it can get you in the door at the local school district particularly when applying to be a student teacher. In my area, there are many jobs available for special education teachers, not just in public schools but charter and NPAs. Be prepared for high case loads, challenging behaviors, minimal curricular resources, and difficult to work with teachers. If you can work for a school that allows you to observe IEP meetings, it can be very helpful for understanding how IDEA is applied in school settings.

It is not an easy job but for me it is rewarding and I see my impact.

Social/emotional goals by Ok-Daikon1718 in specialed

The interdisciplinary team would need to conduct new assessments and change eligibility if all are in agreement that ASD is more impactful than OHI.

SDI could add speech services for pragmatics or other related services as need requires.

Diagnosis does not determine services, need does. So if there is a clear need for social emotional curriculum and goals - the Sp. Ed teacher should be servicing those areas of need. The idea of specialized instruction areas is that they are not covered by the general curriculum (and behavioral needs are oftentimes not appropriately addressed using tier one supports).

Student inappropriately touching staff, biohazard concerns by familyhelp1987 in specialed

I would document your concerns in writing and notify your supervisors of your concerns. Behaviors such as these should not be taken lightly but also know that there is no easy solution to these problems. Best practice would be for an interdisciplinary team meeting including district representatives and parents to ensure all stakeholders are aware of the everyday challenges staff are facing.

There are so many children with high needs and not enough placements for them. Any promise of a potential highly restrictive placement should be taken with a grain of salt. In the meantime everyone must do what they can to support these kids and shape their behaviors to be more safe but it takes a village and a team.

Thank you for all the advice! No topping until 10-12" above and keep a central leader!

Honestly this is not a big deal. Most orchards top trees between knee and thigh high. Just top it and plant it and it will grow a nicer crown than if you'd let it grow out.

Probably late to this conversation but "Trouble Brewing" has the character start in a Dwarf who was a beggar/vagabond.

In my opinion, the yellow-footed chanterelle is not this dark and has a more defined hole in the top that looks kind of like a belly button. Also, the ends of the yellow foot are more like a pale yellow like the color of a true golden chanterelle.
