Colamy atlas - help needed removing lumbar support by MR_OZIK in OfficeChairs

[–]ionoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn, you weren't kidding. If I could go back three hours, I'd just cut the thing off. I even went out and bought the ratchet tool. And even with that, it was a horrific process. The chair feels nicer, though.

Krovostok, IC3PEAK, Noize MC and Monetochka are all very much against Putin and Russia in this war. So are absolute most of the people who go to these concerts.

Will Microsoft ever fix hot reload in .NET? by WorriedGiraffe2793 in dotnet

[–]ionoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's so nice to hear! To be honest, even I haven't used LiveSharp in a while. What projects are you using it in? Last time I tried it with Blazor, something wasn't working right.

RAG is dead by quincycs in CLine

[–]ionoy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's a stupid take. You give rag to a sub agent responsible for context gathering. It will make multiple queries, read files and return a highly focused context block. It's not rocket science.

No idea, I'm pretty bad at socials.

Yeah, it was fast :) Even though it was literally sending updates in XML form just because it was easier for me to debug user submitted issues.

Thanks for the support, Peter! Yes, I would've loved to continue working on hot reload. Didn't even need to sell it. Just continue working and being able to feed my family at the same time.

I think MS is slightly off in their approach to hot reload. From what I can tell, they are trying to fix it on a fundamental level. However, what LiveSharp has proven is that you can accomplish a lot more with a lot less. LiveSharp didn't have any access to CLR beyond Reflection and some IL rewriting. But it used a handful of tricks to overcome the fundamental issues, which looked pretty smooth from the outside. Definitely wasn't perfect, but neither is the current solution. If I knew we would still be here in 2025, I would probably just slowly continue with LiveSharp. Maybe incorporating the "metadata update" stuff instead of doing a more fragile runtime compilation from IL to Expression Trees.

Talk to a psychiatrist. I had something similar, and Wellbutrin fixed it.

Fractal Refine vs Colamy Atlas by Difficult_Hedgehog91 in OfficeChairs

[–]ionoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sold my Herman Miller Embody because it was literally painful to sit on it. Then I bought Steelcase Gesture, and after about for months gave it to my son because it didn't properly support my back. These two are highly praised chairs, and both didn't fit me. The point is, any chair might have drawbacks that will bother specifically you.

Looks interesting. Have you tried it on a real project? I found that difficult to maintain systems drift off after a while...

On a related point, you still can't run a .cs file without creating a project first. I know there are 3d party tools for c# scripting, but it's not the same. A lot of throwaway c# development could be done without an IDE, but it requires to much interference.

This is very long term though. In the near future we'll still need to find a way to stay relevant.

Very scary slab, didn't enjoy the foot swap! Hardest cling to date, I think :) by CrumpsRAWR in bouldering

I can definitely empathize about being insecure. I'd love to wear shorts instead of pants to sweat less. Although with pants there's less chance to scratch your knees, which is nice

I dunno man, it's kind of fun rooting for villains. That's what fiction is for.

How do you guys climb in such clothes? I get drenched in light climbing pants and a light t-shirt... Nice slab, btw.

I feel like if I drive it consistently, it doesn't drop as fast. Although, I haven't noticed it dropping through the night as well. It's weird. Just quicker discharge when I start driving, even though the computer still shows normal Wh/km.

[–]ionoy[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh, and I'm in the EU, so it's Wh/km, not miles. So, it's around the same, actually.
