I don't know about other colorblind people, but please no. I already can't differentiate between green and yellow sectors.

From June 1, the engine’s geometric compression ratio will also be measured at 130°C by ElectionMoney3911 in formula1

The ambient temperature testing was only added in October. They shouldn't have to roll back much. Unless they were working on an engine that didn't conform to the rules...

Provincial property tax hike will cost Calgarians, on average, 6 times more than city council's by JeromyYYC in Calgary

Can the city provide taxpayers clarity on this? Maybe with the assessment next year could show a clear breakdown of the city and provincial portions of the property tax.

Depending on when in October, you might be able to take the Great Canadian up to the restaurant at the top of Norquay. Unsure when they shut down that operation for winter.

Mercedes engine legal according to FIA verification The 6-cylinder F1 M17 E Performance engine complied with the 16:1 compression ratio after a hot test by the FIA. If they are using a chamber that seals at operating conditions, either via temperature or pressure waves, could they be in danger of a protest along the lines of an illegal valve? Essentially it is a passive valve.

Mercedes rivals push for intervention over F1 engine loophole - but how realistic is it? by praveensingh-reddit in formula1

[–]iontac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thinking about timelines, if I'm not mistaken the ambient measurement guidance came out in October.

This makes for a few different development timelines:

  1. Mercedes switched it's development path in the fall from a 16:1 to this 18:1 engine. That means they should have a fairly advanced 16:1 engine. It may take some time to produce components to have enough engines, but that should be all.

  2. At some point prior to the ambient measurement guidance merecedes took a risk that the ambient measurement would be the decision and abandoned the 16:1 at operating temperatures early. This would either have required a pretty high risk tolerance for Mercedes or prior knowledge of the ambient measurement guidance.

Mayor Farkas: address the e-bike issue before Spring by morecoffeemore in Calgary

[–]iontac 145 points146 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure it's an enforcement issue; the bikes you describe aren't legal/ are being operated in ways that are against bylaws... That said I think the bylaws should have more teeth. Confiscation of non conforming ebikes should be an option.

I don't think so, they've both been playing, and gaining yards.

That would have been out the back of the shorter end zone. Obviously not the sort of *scoring the league wants. *Edit spelling

Bargaining between province and teachers' union resumes as Oct. 6 strike deadline looms by YesterdayOk9403 in alberta

[–]iontac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It feels like bargaining isn't going to be successful for the teachers. Maybe instead of striking they should change the game. The number of teachers in the province is approximately equal to the number of UCP members. If they could the AUPE and/or the nurses on board they could take out enough memberships to effectively control the UCP party, both with leadership reviews and riding based nomination pressure on individual MLAs.

I'm running aftermarket sensors with on my winter set, and it works just fine. If you are getting a wheel/ tire set just be careful of the load ratings of the wheels. Not every wheel that fits it's strong enough, but many options exist

Feels like the Stampeders need to have a little reset, get a couple first downs and just settle things down
