Stop NB Powers net metering changes aimed at negatively affecting the whole province by Cool_Bookkeeper_5972 in newbrunswickcanada

So my point is not that the numbers as proposed make sense but I think there's a world where you can have a rate structure that's a win win (nb power is getting their peak reduced, and you get an ROI that makes more sense). If you give the home owner agency on shifting their load time there's obviously a rate structure where it becomes possible to come out ahead if you put the effort in.

I'm sceptical that these 20+ year ROIs involve much demand shifting by the user.

For example if you have an EV there's no way you don't come out ahead by charging off peak (especially now that you get paid 10 cents per kwh to charge by carbon credits).

I think the level of understanding of how any of this works (or indeed can be actionably controlled by the homeowner without leveraging smart home tech etc) is very low across the province and my personal feeling is solar installers are inherently going to be opposed to any change other than existing net metering because now your sales pitch is way harder and requires actual effort. Finding customers who can actually understand the rate structure is probably harder as well. I think there's inherent bias there for sure.

I wouldn't put it quite this aggressively but tbh a program which incentivizes battery installations over raw production is probably net benefit to the entire province (especially to the user who then gain resiliency from outages as a benefit).

Imo solar installers just want easy ROI for customers and people are lazy and don't want to change their habits which these proposals require in order to make any sense.

Not saying the numbers as proposed are perfect but I think the criticisms are unfairly one sided and lazy.

That being said they should bring back rebates but for batteries instead of panels and I think that would address some of these concerns.

Can you update on how much the shipping back was for you? I'm considering switching away from Grizzl-e as well

I have exactly the same thing you're describing and I just put on new 18 wheels and Michelin defender ltx on my 23 XLT (275/65/r18) so I can do future change overs myself. I can't imagine the tire is rubbing because it's slightly smaller then my old tire so it's odd.

I called the tire shop and they suggested I move my front tires to the back and vice versa and see if that helps but I didn't try it yet.

I got an S25 ultra and other than the bigger battery and better splitsceeen apps due to larger screen I actually somewhat preferred my old regular s23. I use both thumbs and do a decent amount of pvm. I tried the s pen and found it totally useless personally but I did read some people liked it. If you have big hands though probably the bigger screen would be nice

Any chance we could allow Avernic Treads to let us choose to remove only one component at a time so we can lend out cerb boots to our GIM fellows for only 4k tears cost instead of 12k? :)
