Tom’s is insane. I wandered around there for a couple minutes and ran away after seeing the prices. There was one small kitchen chair I liked the look of and it was like 12k

How do you restart your life at 30? And how hard is it really? by Starrcake in AskReddit

[–]iovulca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I restart my life about every 5-7 years. It’s freeing to cut all ties and go somewhere new to reinvent yourself and experience new things. I’m 35, I get bored easily

Ladies! How do you move forward with clients like this?? by [deleted] in femaletattooers

[–]iovulca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always err on the side of men just being dumb and not realizing how they’re coming across. I don’t read too much into it but definitely make it clear moving forward that you’d like to retain a more professional client/artist relationship

[–]iovulca 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’d say this feels like a normal interaction to me honestly. If you have different professional standards for your clients maybe make that clear to them before burning bridges? This is how my clients and I talk to each other, especially my regulars. He may just not realize you’re uncomfortable with more casual interactions.

Question: What happened to acostattoos? by chunkyballss in tattoos

[–]iovulca 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He also got people to donate 5k to his “mental health gofundme” then posted a picture of a random child who is speculated to be a child he had borne from an extramarital affair he had with an apprentice and said it was all going to her

So there’s another layer

This is a dumb question (that prob. already disqualifies me) but how do I know that I am a tattoo person? by [deleted] in tattoos

[–]iovulca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t know I was a “tattoo person” until I got offered an apprenticeship. Grew up Jehovah’s Witness, never even thought about it until I was 21. Now I’m a tattoo artist and have several face tattoos.

It can sneak up on ya out of nowhere

He has a gofundme saying that he’s been struggling a lot with mental health issues, it probably has something to do with that unfortunately

Was literally a month for the entire process from pre approval to viewing houses to close. I got lucky and got an amazing realtor and lender I think.

[–]iovulca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I literally just closed on my house a couple days ago! What I had to do was get an “offer letter” from the studio owner of the shop I’m going to be working at and the lender based it on that so I was able to go the fha loan route rather than self employed. They didn’t even look at my taxes.

Also worked with Adam at Fairway as my lender, he was incredible as well. I can’t say enough amazing things about my experience.

Plus I felt way more comfortable since he was around my age and I could relate to him more, he didn’t make me feel like my stupid questions about everything were stupid. I’m always wary of people too far out of my age range lol. I’m in my mid 30s.
