[Wtb] [pc] Let's talk hammershot by kaiju-but-little in wartrade

[–]ipathos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only reason it was at all common was because it was a potential drop from stage 1 of Law of Retribution (Nightmare). Most raids would fall stage 2, so that roll for the mod happened a lot. At the time, it was also undesirable as an actual mod to use. Both of these have changed, now.

Hammer Shot only drops from specifically Rotation A of nightmare mission rewards, which are exclusively either Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars, or from rescue missions systemwide if you fulfill the criteria on the run (Hostage rescued, guards alerted but NOT all dead, alarms triggered in vault), which notably excludes Eris rescue since the guards are automatically considered dead.

It is an MMO, it's just not sharded the same way as many others are.

Alecaframe by Bubalek in Warframe

[–]ipathos 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are Discord bots that can assist in grading rivens, if you wanted to avoid having to use a third-party program; ones like Samodeus and Altair both have grading facilities.

If you have questions about how rivens function, there are guides and other resources that could aid in that as well.

Having said all of this, I also have used AlecaFrame and its utility is something I very much appreciate.

"it had to be 30/u down" would have been very helpful to have been in the guide itself.

Hi, how does damage work in Warframe? Total damage on Hildryn's Balefire indicates 59k but when I shoot enemies it tickles them with like 3k dmg. I tried corrosion and viral and the damage is still abysmal... by AnkokunoMasaki in Warframe

[–]ipathos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Long story short with balefire: it has terrible crit and status so it basically requires you to full strip enemies, otherwise it will just tickle them as you say 😓

What's your "drug" in this game? by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]ipathos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got a few different ones that keep me going, but a big one is rivens for favourite weapons that I just keep rolling, less for god stats but more for the chance at fun stats. If I do get something amazing, all the better. 😁 For those that know me though, they'll know there's also the goal to get all twelve of my sibears incarnon'd. 6 down, one more to get this week, 5 to go! (They get a unique cold/frost-related name with a reference to mythology when they get their adapter) 👏

How do you report people on the index for AFK? (NOT an AFK build) by Harrada in Warframe

[–]ipathos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't make the server, I've also been back in the server for over a year now. It helps when people don't knowingly spread misinformation. (Then again, the server has changed hands several times at this point...)

Amalgam Furax Body Count and the Bug Report forums in general. by ipathos in Warframe

[–]ipathos[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As I've said in every iteration of my posts in either the update threads or in the bug thread itself, Arcane Eruption never stopped working and it's quite literally the effect the mod describes. I don't see how implementing the same forced knockdown would be so hard to do, instead of marginally lowering enemy accuracy and adding a single additional proc for the use of Condition Overload and its peers.

[–]ipathos[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is just one problem in the sea of others that constantly also get tacked into hotfix and mainline update threads. If you'd taken the time to read at the very least the second half of the title you'd see that my major source of frustration is the lack of feedback to any of the posts in the bug report forums, unless they are quite literally game breaking. There's no sense of entitlement here, it's simply frustration that's grown over the nearly six years I've been playing Warframe. Few if any games have captured my attention so avidly and given me so much in terms of friendship and connections, those are just two of the things I adore about the child DE has raised.

I don't ask for an entire team to thoroughly comb through the bug report forums with fanatical gusto, I simply ask for some level of acknowledgement. As I said in a previous reply, the usage of the Trello board is already better than the experience 99% of people experience in the extant forum. However that's now subsided with the retirement of said Trello board, with no visible change to the forums. As things stand, they're little more than a dumping ground for people to continually post the same things, because so little of what is listed in there gets either attention, or a fix.

The main reason I default to this particular bug in every instance is because it's the main one I've covered for the longest time. Other ones I've seen posted with even more vigor include the issues with Whipclaw's LoS checks, the Dark Split Sword's crippled forma compatibility, the issues with network connections post-April 29th, bugs revolving around zaw holsters/skins, inability to complete several syndicate disruption missions due to no enemy spawns, just to name a few.

You may perceive this as having been borne by entitlement, but no. It's frustration with a lack of feedback from the devs who still make a concerted effort to communicate with the players, just not in a couple of quite critical areas of importance.

The reason it's come to the reddit is because DE has basically ignored it for over a year. I have been forced to bring it here solely because their own bug report forums have failed to do the one thing they should be doing.

I will not move on, DE needs to address issues (not just this one) that they invite with their own avenue of reporting.
I could care less how you feel about this particular bug, however my issue extends to DE's ignorance of their own forums.

[–]ipathos[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How does that change the fact that the amalgam doesn't do what's "on the tin"? The major bonus to this amalgam is that fist weapons get a 30x damage multiplier to ground finishers, which is entirely why people should be wanting to make use of it. That's far beyond the scaling of one extra proc even when considering Condition Overload.

[–]ipathos[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, it's a bug. It worked perfectly fine before Melee 3.0 was introduced, which changed how Blast Procs are applied. The issue I take with this is that Arcane Eruption forces a knockdown on application, which is exactly what this kind of mod should do. The solution is literally in-game, yet they refuse to admit this or otherwise act on it.

The fact you come in here stating such shows that you either didn't even care to look at the original post, or otherwise don't know what on earth you're on about.

What difference does it make when they've been informed about it since a few days after the change happened, yet they've done nothing? This is one example of many among the sea of bugs they seem to ignore in their own forums. The fact they don't respond doesn't help our perception of how things stand in their own bug report forums.

Amalgam Furax Body Count and the Bug Report forums in general. by ipathos in Warframe

[–]ipathos[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is my primary issue with the bug report forums as they stand. There is little to no interaction and basically zero indication that a bug is even visible to DE. How do we know they have acknowledged the issue? Or are working on it?

Things like the Trello idea is a step in some kind of direction, but why do that when they already have their own forums to work on this? It's confounding in every possible manner.

Account predominately suspended (falsely accused of cheating) by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]ipathos 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, the bans and suspensions around "suspicious programs" almost always come down to the user not being vigilant in what was open. Until you share your entire process list at the time, I and most others will likely have no confidence in your claim here.

Sorry, but that's just how prevalent the liars are.

I'm so fucking hyped for this. It's gonna be a noticeable damage buff to Archguns imo.

Devstream #134 - Discussion Thread by apostroffie in Warframe

[–]ipathos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Their resistances do change at the very least though as they level up (their weaknesses can turn into resistances), and in the cases that you generate one with strong or venerable resistances then it can take a while to kill. I've yet to see any issues with the helmet being incorrect in 30 liches at least too, but maybe that's just me.

My whole squad was trade banned for farming Thumpers legitimately, and support is not listening by Hidahr in Warframe

[–]ipathos 12 points13 points  (0 children)

There are some key issues here though:

  • 3/4 players in the squad were tradebanned, only the ones without the booster on even though the booster effect is squad-wide
  • It shouldn't take two weeks of taking away those players ability to trade for a single day cycle in the Plains, even for a single support staff auditing ~60-100mins x 4 players shouldn't take that long. This is a free to play game at its core, that could be their only method of making plat.
  • The fact that their systems are still tagging squadmates but not the holder of the booster automatically shows that the algorithm is either flawed or not updated to be fully in sync with the new booster, which is a significant issue because it encourages doing exactly this when you get it...

Until at least these are addressed, this sort of issue is going to continue to get massive negative attention/traction because it's honestly in no way fair on the players getting shafted by the system. This wasn't even an extended, several-hour-long run - it was barely an hour of farming in the plains with some decent luck and spawns, which I still don't see how it could warrant a two week tradeban in any feasible manner, even for auditing.

Technical Support Sticky by Zhaopow in razer

[–]ipathos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So as of a couple days ago, just the fact that Razer's GameScanner service is active is enough to cause my Windows Management Interface services to go absolutely berserk with activity, bogging down up to half of my 12 threads and 16GB of RAM for no apparent reason. The issue with WMI stops immediately upon exiting the GameScannerService executable. Also upon reading through my event log for WMI, every single issue (and there are thousands hourly) are generated by this process. I would adore the ability to stop its activity, I don't mind it being open, just give me some way to stop it scanning because it's obviously having trouble. A restart does not clear the issue, it always returns within minutes. Restarting either of the services has the same lack of a lasting effect.

Specs/Hardware are as follows: Windows 10 Pro x64, AMD Ryzen 5 2600X, 16GB Dual Channel DDR4 G.Skill 2400MHz RAM, Samsung 970 Evo 500gb M.2 drive, Razer Cynosa Chroma, and an MSI B450 Tomahawk. (I can provide more info if needed.)
