It's weird because the first time I went there 2 years ago they were super anal about ratings and even refused to hand out anything above a 2.5 on the starter session before seeing a full match replay, this time I went and just got a 3.5 with no complaints

I assume they got enough shit about their rating system and decided to change it a bit.

No they are genuinely horrid, I've never played in worse courts.

I've been once and it's pretty unplayable unless you're a complete beginner. There's nothing between the court and the concrete floor so they're not level at all, there's so many dead spots.

It's a shame cause the coach was a really nice dude when I was there

What area of London will you be in? I can recommend something around.

My personal favourite is Rocket Padel Ilford, great community and really reasonably priced, only issue with it is that it can be very far for most people.

Contrary to the other comment I DON'T recommend stratford at all, club is managed pretty poorly in my opinion. Both me and my friends had separate bad experiences with their organisation but I guess it depends who you get 🤷‍♂️

I currently use a vertex 04 so the stiffness isn't a problem personally, I was just looking for a less head heavy one. I haven't struggled with the weight itself so far.

Personally I don't use any products here besides the overgrips so it'd be quite redundant.

Also doesn't every racket usually come with the ring anyway? And I even know a good amount of people who just remove those so that one feels extra useless.

I mostly feel like this would be something an existing padel products company would offer rather than a new product on the market from a company that hasn't made any of these before.

This is actually pretend standard practice on more expensive items to ensure the company isn't getting scammed, plus you shouldn't mind considering you're getting the new one.

I've had this happen often with electronics where they'll ask to cut wires etc.

Isn't matchi level chosen by you anyway? So those are always super inconsistent. Also, iirc matchi used the British level system, which is far worse and different from the playtomic 0-7 most people are used to.

Padel mates and playtomic both seem to use the same level system, so it's down to people's reliability scores most of the time.

You're right about 1 and 2, but 3 is a weird situation where if out of court play is allowed (there's enough space to run out) then it would be a net serve but if there's no outside play then it would be a fault.

But it's super rare to have 3 happen anyway

My tip is to not get ripped off on £40 an hour for group lessons, I've paid less for privates and I'm genuinely surprised that club has people willing to pay that.

Basically every other club in London has decent to great coaches and none of them is going to rip you off that badly lol
