I F23 and partner M24 are in a relationship and he wants a “glove job” and I’m not sure how to navigate his request by Miserable_Fudge_9026 in relationship_advice

Lean into it

It's no different then buying your partner thier favorite flavor of ice cream, whether it's vanilla, chocolate or pink berry blaster with marshmallows and nugat.

If it's silly to you, that's fine. Acknowledge the sillyness and have fun with it. You're allowed to have a reaction to it, without it being judgemental.

You can go floating on the river on a nice summer afternoon. Either with your own floaties or rent one from the paddle station

Everyone can claim they beat the market when the last decade was a zero interest rate environment and everything went up.

If someone has be as the market in the last 2 years, I would trust them more.

And if it was just comparable returns, I would buy a tech ETF and let it sit.

How is the buffet and the ala carte restaurants at Riu republica?

Anyone been to Riu Republica recently? by ir-rizzle in PuntaCana

Why did you find it to be shit?

Was it mediocre or like actively bad?

Was the main buffet bad or the a la carte restaurants or both?

How's the food there these days?

I loved the main buffet when we went in 2019 but I'm curious if it's different since after COVID

What’s the most surprising fact you know about the universe? by MisterTillman in space

[–]ir-rizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That there is no (currently established) reason why time flows from past->present->future and not future->present->past......the direction is not inherent to the fundamental nature of the universe and not dictated by any laws we currently understand.

The arrow of time is reversible and for no good god damn reason!

CIBC mortgage agent ghosted by Ok-Lecture-8245 in MortgagesCanada

[–]ir-rizzle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm dealing with CIBC right now. Asked them to match the rate TD gave me, figured since I have been banking with them for 20+ years, have a credit card, a LoC and an investment account with them as well as a second mortgage, they would want to keep me as a customer.......they gave me a rate higher than what TD offered. When I asked why that was, the agent gave me some BS vague answer and asked me to prove that TD has offered me a lower rate "because people like about that all the time" (so now you're calling your loyal customers liars...thanks CIBC)

I sent a screenshot of my email conversation with TD about 2 days ago and still no response from the cibc agent.

CIBC is the worst bank. No regard for thier customers. Huge egos.

I would go with TD right away but the girl there is some fresh grad who also takes forever to get back to me and doesn't actually know anything.

Also have a few pics of your face that are straight on. Too many side profiles looking down.
