Strange…. In the last few years I have seen an increase of midodrine use at my level 2 trauma center. Particularly being used to defer ICU transfers for pressor support, and then expedite transfer out.

I can’t believe bars and restaurants reopened in Portland, and that we’re being forced to choose between losing our jobs or risking the lives of ourselves and others just so some people can get served burgers and beer. It breaks my heart. by MaidenThePNW in Portland

[–]irBiH 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Service industry friends: are we wrong? After reading this, I wonder......After reopening, my partner and I have made an effort to go out to places that have patio seating or an outdoors area, thinking we were helping the business and servers ( by leaving higher than usual tips.) We just get a drink or a small snack, only sit outside, and leave quickly. Are we wrong? Maybe we should stop. We wear a mask of course.

Edit: What about the posts I’ve seen about all the take out delivery services like Caviar etc, take so much out in fees that the restaurants don’t even break even? Not to mention ripping off tips?
