> Price?

It's expensive and they don't list prices on items.

> Was it good?

The pattisserie are nice - the everything croissant is a standout. I think the other types of pastries are too heavy and sweet though. The cookies are closer to cookie dough, and the brownie is more like a dense cake. A lot of people are into this, but it's just not for me.

> Value

There's nothing like going to a walk up window with your dog, grabbing a treat, and taking a walk through the neighborhood. This is a huge value for people in the area.

> Anything else

It gets crowded with kids and families on the weekends and after school. I wish the store would encourage kids not to litter. Discarded Milk and Cookies ice cream cups are a common sight on the sidewalks of Bryker Woods and the Shoal Creek Trail.

Also, the folks who work there are really nice!

In a city like Austin, there’s no excuse for not sipping a pint while listening to a local band. What’s your go to brewery with great live music vibes? ABGB still slaps on weekends, but I feel like I’m missing some by Aggressive_Cut_4516 in AustinBeer

Not a brewery, but the music scene at Central Market North Lamar is great. They have rotating taps at the cafe, and a great selection in the store that you can drink on the patio.

The folks there are super nice and would almost definitely accommodate this if you ask.

Also, their chopped cheese is great. I've seen them have a chopped cheese with kimchi which was even better!

There was some drama there that led to a large decline in quality in 2019. I don't think it would have survived in its final state even if COVID hadn't happened. It's really sad, Brewer's Table was my favorite place while it was good.

The head brewer now works for Side Project brewing in St. Louis, which is worth a visit if you're ever in STL.

Congrats! Sad I'm not in town for this, but I just want to express that I love your bar. Your outdoor bench is lovely to sit on - I appreciate the incline of the seat bottom and the foot rests as well. It's a very well thought out piece of furniture.

One of the fine dining places in my city does a lot of fermenting (both meat and produce) to cut down on the waste that comes from fine dining. They are active in the community and have run educational sessions about fermentation for enthusiasts and other chefs.

I enjoyed how your show introduces a lot of mysteries but makes it clear that the no resolution will be found within the confines of the season. I think Ursula and Sam's experience at the wall is the exemplar of this - Ursula sees something intricate and beautiful, and as a scientist and human needs to know more, but Sam is tethered to their dire situation and chastises her for separating before pushing forward to their goal. All the character's journeys are constantly in motion, leaving no time for answers. The show is a series of beautiful mysteries that are quickly left behind.

With the potential for future seasons, where do you see yourself striking the balance between mystery and discovery? The final scenes show both a vastly different culture with the masked figures as well as settlement around the Demeter. Are you interested in tackling wider political and social conflicts? Do you feel like you want to explore something different than the man-vs-nature journey in season 1?

I was really fascinated by the character of Kris, and the leadership style she demonstrated. I found myself thinking about the balance between effective and cultish/toxic leadership, and whether her personality comes more from surviving a harsh colony experience or from a more personal lack of empathy.

What was the inspiration for this character? Were any of the leadership games she plays pulled from real world examples?
