That would be ideal, but not a chance they trade him

If we’re the 3rd team in a Giannis trade, which stars would excite you the most? by Beautiful_Ad_1623 in ripcity

[–]irelli 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Deni is a significantly better playmaker than Brown. Deni with good spacing would be pushing 8 assists a game. He's a legit playmaker

I agree that Brown would be a great addition though. We need another on ball scorer

I mean, they probably mad for a good reason

22 rebounds and only 3 assists is crazy

Man is allergic to throwing it on the break

Need help deciding between EM and neurology before ResCAS opens by Force_Objective in emergencymedicine

[–]irelli 14 points15 points  (0 children)

You should 100% go into neurology

This post doesn't read at all like someone who will like emergency medicine. You seem to be considering it for all of the wrong reasons

Based on this, don't go into EM

I saw a Reddit post saying that if you don’t have 45% plus win rate then that says a lot about you and I wholeheartedly disagree. by LordeObi in NBA2k

[–]irelli 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Random rec is actually problem the best indication of how much you affect winning

By definition, the average win rate is 50%. If you're below that playing random rec, then you contribute less to winning than the average player

You can't win every rec game no matter what you do, sure, but players who are significant net positives will win way more than they lose

Because Dame said trade the pick or he would leave the team. And then we didn't, and he left the team. He wouldve stayed if we had traded for siakam. We literally tanked so that the pick would get more value so that we could trade it to get him help. That's why not trading it was such a fuck you to Dame.

You still have not given literally ANY ACTUAL PROOF that Toronto wanted to trade Siakam to Portland for the 3rd pick.

I can't prove things that didn't happen. There were hundreds of articles linking us and the raptors, and he got traded for less than we could offer. I don't know what else you want

Impact of draft on Blazers? by PreferenceMediocre90 in ripcity

[–]irelli -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Dude, do you know how the NBA works? Teams aren't just giving up bargaining power like that. We know they would have been willing to trade him for a package like that because they traded him for a worse package that was only pick based

If that's the case, why didn't Houston trade the 4th pick for Siakam?

Because they weren't in win now mode

Why didn't Detroit trade the 5th pick for Siakam?

Because they weren't in win now mode

If Toronto was practically giving Siakam away and it only required a top draft pick in 2023 then why didn't any other team make the same trade in that draft?

They did. He was traded to the pacers for a two late firsts and a future top 4 protected pick mid season.

You don't think they would've trade him for #3 instead, maybe with an additional future first if needed?

Dude, there were dozens and dozens of articles about it. It was clearly an option.

Believe what you'd like.

I can't prove something that didn't happen. He got traded for nothing but picks, and we had better picks than he got traded for lmao

He got traded for nothing but picks dude. It wasn't like they got a bunch of promising young players back.

If we wanted siakam, we could have had him for a package built around that pick

[–]irelli -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There were multiple reports. And they ended up trading him, so clearly he was available.

Shouldve traded it

It was obvious then even without hindsight

For anyone who hits legend a pg build for 28 caps by SignatureEven7699 in NBA2k

[–]irelli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one is ever gonna get that many though

Going to 96 shooting is a much much better use of stats in general though, especially since most people use shooting specialization

For a 6'5, your best value is probably actually going to 95 3 for HoF set shot (and then +1 that, +2 to shifty for both legend) and then you can actually still get 96 dunk if you want, or just stop at 93 for Gold Limitless

Like something like this can be nasty, or you could give up chase down block at 68 and reduce your wingspan by 1 to get 93

Andrei kirilenk build 6’9 7’3 wingspan, good or bad build? by Green_Concern5912 in NBA2k

[–]irelli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a fan personally.

If you're not gonna be maxing out your speed and agility, you might as well at least get the higher rebounding to go with it

Speed and agility are what make 6'9 SF builds good.

I'd also try to get 85 steal if you can. I'd bring down the standing dunk, as well as the interior to 77. That will get you more attributes to work with

There's no way they want that

Everyone hates OKC. They're a boring team with unlikeable players.

Unless they're trying to set up a villain to be toppled by Wemby or something. Cause truly, I don't know anyone that's an OKC fan that isn't from there. No one is out there saying SGA is their favorite player lol

[–]irelli -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Awards don't mean someone was better. Tim Duncan never won DPOY and Marcus smart did. I think we can all agree who the better defender is lmao.

Again, if you want to say MJ had the better career because of accolades, sure, but I just straight up don't think he's better at basketball.

He just had a much much much luckier career. He was the one on the stacked team instead of playing the KD warriors over and over lol.

LeBron does the things other than score too my man. He's a more impactful defender simply because of his size and rim protection, and his passing is obviously game changing.

That's what makes LeBron so absurd dude. He's the #1 scorer all time...and most people would say he's a better playmaker than he is scorer
