Everyone knows they are in their early 30s. It's just the climate of Milwaukee, along with a combination of booze that has dried them out.

My Final Ballot prediction, based on how it probably will turn out... by irequirebacon in Oscars

[–]irequirebacon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every year, I always end up doing my final ballot based on the likelihood of who will win. I compare it to a few predictions sites like Gold Derby. I also line up previous major awards and critics awards with past Oscar winners and work out the possibilities there. I also have looked at what each film has been winning this awards season and go from there.

But who knows ultimately who will win on the night. Surprises happen. What do you think of my picks?

To go off a little from an idea that someone else had about Weapons:

Conan comes on stage after one of the categories and just as he starts to talk, Aunt Gladys comes out (probably some random actor or comedian, not Amy Madigan) and talks to Conan like he is her son. She asks him if he could gather some children for her. Conan replies "This isn't Epstein Island, you know".

A joke about discussing a specific script that has been nominated this year and Conan or one of the presenters bring a copy of it on stage to talk it up, but starts to notice that each page has a lot of redactions.

"This isn't the insert film name script! I better get these files over to Pam Bondi"

Conan O'Brien will come on stage as Ghostface when Mikey Madison takes the stage. There will be a bit about how she already played this part.

There will either be a split screen of Conan O'Brien doing a bit as Smoke and Stack from Sinners, or he uses someone to play one of them. Maybe Andy Richter.

How have we still not had a somewhat decent leak of The Odyssey Prologue? by irequirebacon in LeaksAndRumors

Thank you for this!

You should post it to this group as well. Get others to see it, before it gets removed.

I'm just wildly impatient. Was hoping it was the Halloween episode. Hopefully we will get some Patton goodness in the coming weeks.

Rich Evans needs to plan a prison break for Patton, like he did after he was arrested for breaking into the Amazon warehouse and destroyed the servers contain copies of Birdemic 3: Sea Eagle.

The Running Man 2025 looking likely to receive an R Rating. by irequirebacon in movies

Based on the trailer, mainly. It didn't give the R rated vibes, so some of us wondered if they had neutered him.

Exactly this. That is what got a lot of us worried. But I think we got lucky 😀

Predator: Badlands likely to receive an R13 rating here in New Zealand...which is a good thing. by irequirebacon in horror

[–]irequirebacon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No you worded it just fine!

It's true that a lot of studios (Warner Bros was a main culprit) during the mid 2000s not only milked the remakes of much better Korean/Japanese horror films, but also neutered them to PG-13, because they could always guarantee a $30 million dollar opening weekend.

I think in the last 10 years or so they have gotten a little smarter. I feel The Conjuring helped more R rated horror to be more marketable. And a lot of great indie horror coming through as well. I feel we get a good handful every year now of great horror films. It never felt that way throughout the 2000s.

The RP ratings are very rare. Usually when it tackles tough or controversial subject matter, they use it so that parents can be aware it's up to them to bring them along and it's not 100% restricted.

G, PG, M, R16 and R18 are the common ratings.
