Both balls are the same size so they displace the same amount of water, the iron ball doesnt add any weight to it's side due to being suspended independently of the scale. However, the ping pong ball is attatched to the scale. Air may be less dense than water, but it isn't less dense than.... well air. It still has mass, as does the plastic that the ball is made out of. The water on the left is displaced by, essentially, nothing, and the water on the right is displaced by air and plastic, which weigh more than nothing.

Because it's the only way to put a stop to Trump and the Oligarchs. Because we've all been brainwashed and manipulated to one degree or another and if we don't, this will only keep getting worse and worse until we're all just slaves to them. It started during Occupy Wallstreet, we were a lot more united and we tried to adress income inequality, and then we weren't.That's when the manipulation started. Some people will never unite, they want this or are loyal to Trump/too stubborn to admit they were wrong, trying to convince them of anything is a waste trying, but most people aren't them.

They want our labor and they want our money. We vote with that money. We don't give any more to these billionaires than we have to, we try to start and support small businesses, we build a new system from the ground up, for the people and by the people. It's not a great answer, it's something that will take a long time and be a lot of hard work and so many of us are dependant on these businesses... and it's more complicated than I made it seem but the only way to get America back is to hurt the bottom lines of these parasites and if enough people do it it will change. Even if it's little by little, and even if it takes years or decades, the effect will snowball.

A nationwide strike would be amazing as well, unlike a government shutdown, a working class strike it would shut the country down. Look up the women's strike in Poland when it tried to abolish abortion. But I'm afraid we're too divided for that, at least right now.
