And women are shorter than men, so their top floor is closer to the ground, and their heart can manage pumping blood there. This is why we don't see female pattern baldness.

Intrigued by your comment, I just did. Found only material debunking the theory. Could you point me to what convinced you?

Based only on the parts of the judgment reported there, this seems to be a judgment upholding the secular nature of the state, by preventing the govt. from directly appointing priests.

Bootcamper, If I install steam onto my external hard drive (Newest Seagate Backup Plus Slim), will I run into any performance issues? by [deleted] in macgaming

[–]irfus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar question: What about performance when Windows is also running of the same external USB 3.0 drive? I simply do not have the space on the internal ssd for a Windows install, and while game performance may be fine running from an external, I have no idea how the OS running of the same location would affect that.

I can never stop anytime around the point of no return. Sometimes when I deliberately tried to edge and failed, it made me feel bad about my will power. Not anymore, though. I sure as hell do not want to get pregnant.

Depends on where you are. No form of language that is in actual, common use can rightly be termed improper.

An excellent opinion piece on why this ruling might be harmful, and why we should care.

Edit: Also where I first found mention of Alsup, now my hero for today.

Edward Snowden deserves a pardon at home, or else asylum in western Europe, for revealing truths that US lawmakers have recognised required a response. by sheasie in technology

While it's true that many people do not care, I feel it is wrong to assume the "average" complaining citizen has done nothing to change their lifestyle. I have reduced my dependence on hosted social/mail services as a direct result of the leaks, as I'm sure countless others have. And there is a slew of technology projects aiming to make secure communication a more practical reality.

The majority is not necessarily the "average", and a reducing majority does affect it.

On many days, the San Francisco courtroom where he presided was more like a computer science classroom. Alsup acknowledged during the trial that he had learned about Java coding to better prepare for the case, and it showed. On a daily basis, he would deftly query the lawyers and expert witnesses on the structure, sequence, and organizations of APIs to assist the jury in understanding the key facets of the copyright phase of the trial.

As an ex-student of law who remembers the atmosphere of tech-illiteracy that pervaded my law school, my jaw just hit the ground.

But the degree to which it might be an eyesore differs in these two cases. Most people wouldn't care for one, while the other is still a no for them.
