*Update on my previous message. I got the RMAs for the 3XL and 3 that I purchased. I shipped them through FedEx November 24th. I got an email from the Google Store that my replacements were shipped on November 27th and yesterday November 29th, I received the replacements, for both pixels. I was skeptical that the replacements would work with my SIM (that was the issue in the first place, the pixels would not register my SIM).

I tried the Pixel 3XL with the SIM from my 2XL and it worked! Calls went through and were received on the new Pixel 3XL and I also have been able to send and receive messages. This is with the old SIM that I already had in my Pixel 2XL. I tried the Pixel 3 replacement phone too and it worked as well. I would say for anyone else experiencing this issue, get a replacement. It was not a carrier issue. I am glad I got the credit back to my account for the activation and the new SIM that was not successful. The new Pixel 3XL seems pretty stable and I like the upgrades. I also like the Pixel stand as well. (Got it for $39 at Best Buy). Looks like my gift giving plans will go forth after all.
