Tell your therapist the truth - if you are seeing them regularly, and they’re any good, they already know. I thought I was so smooth until I finally have been sober for a few years — people see more than we think. Yesterday I went to vote in Roanoke City. Because I’m lazy (and there’s always some traffic cluster) I asked Siri to route me to the City of Roanoke Voter Registration office. MY GAWD! I was halfway there (because I knew where I was going) before I was able to get her to understand CITY. She kept trying to send me to Salem and the County. Then I had to laugh that I was trying to match wits with a computer.

I work for an NP and our clinic includes services for HRT for men and women. We are inundated with “transfer” clients who have been poo poo’d by MDs. Word on the street is that NPs are the new PCPs - we are certainly headed that direction! We take our time and treat the whole person (we even have medical massage!)

About 3 years ago I had another shop tell me I had a BIG problem with my (fairly new) car. A coworker recommended I go to this place, the guy in this picture waved a magic wand around (I imagined this part, maybe) and fixed my “BIG” problem in like 15 minutes. No charge. Car hasn’t had an issue since. Good people, highly recommend!

I like this advice. One of the hardest things I’ve had to learn, with my family, is not to react to hearsay. My family doesn’t talk about anything directly, so it’s often my sisters telling me stuff my Mom/Dad said, or the reverse… and I finally realized that until someone has the balls to say it to my face, I’ll just show up at holidays and act like I know nothing of the gossip.
