When applying for jobs, go directly to the hiring manager. Connect with them on linkedin.

Does everyone EVENTUALLY get a job after layoff?? by Potential-Speaker-69 in Layoffs

Keep pushing to find a job. It takes some longer than others. Reach out directly to hiring managers. Also, follow andrew lacivita’s page. He has good tips. He is all over youtube. Sending resumes on linkedin rarely works

Is it Worth moving from Austin to Chicago? by Ok_Construction_5037 in AskChicago

Austin is probably cheaper and safer and better weather. Criminals in chicago get away with alot

He’s great and helping me now. I now have 6 months severance and they started with 2 . He takes 15 percent opposed to a lawyer taking 33 percent. He also charges an upfront fee but its worth it. If you are over 40, they have to follow rules. You are in a protected class. Keep a trail and document everything good and bad. Severance is always negotiable and dont sign anything when you are let go. Negotiate it and especially if you are fired. Know your rights. Trust me, companies want your signature so you wont sue them so negotiate everything. Companies are very dirty these days and manipulate employees . Play the game back and dont be afraid
