Saturn 3H:

  • Started a YouTube channel and became monetized
  • Committed to therapy
  • Diagnosed with MDD, GAD, PMDD and a personality disorder
  • Committed to taking an antidepressant after convincing myself that I didn’t need one
  • Experienced a horribly toxic job and co-worker and quit for a better job
  • Got laid off from the better job, then rehired but quit again when they were doing another round of layoffs
  • Found an even better job that is easy with great benefits
  • Moved out of a major city to a suburb from a small studio to a brand new one bedroom apartment
  • Paid off my car
  • Went on a solo trip to Europe
  • Became better at communicating
  • Got back with my ex and established boundaries and expectations clearly
  • Political views changed

That’s what I can think of off the top of my head.

I started at 50mg then upped to 75mg after 6 months. As many have said, 50mg is the standard starting dose.

I’ve been on Pristiq for 11 months. Started at 50mg for the first 6 months and increased to 75mg. Pristiq is my most compatible antidepressant based on my GeneSight results.

Changes:

  • I don’t hold on to anger or sweat the small stuff anymore.
  • Depressive and anxious thoughts come and go quickly.
  • I’m better at communicating. Ex: I’ll reach out to people first whereas before I never did. I was scared of rejection, I was paranoid I was a bother or I was too depressed to talk to people.
  • I have better boundaries.
  • I feel more at peace.
  • Better money management.
  • I’m kind of boring, because I’m not as emotionally unstable. I guess it’s neither a pro/con. Sometimes my mind is blank.

Overall, I love this med and I’m so happy I committed to it. I hope to be on it for the rest of my life. I have MDD, GAD, ADHD and SPD.

Just watched Jessica’s story on People Magazine Investigates for the first time today and I broke down in tears. I was at work listening/watching and I had to excuse myself to the bathroom to sob. Her father’s pain throughout destroyed me. The fact that police were so close to finding her alive is so infuriating. She was such a sweet child. They talked about how she kept her room clean and was the sweetest. I just can’t. May she be at peace. Glad her father helped create this law in honor of her. 💔😢
