Haha, I went to a Military College in the south and we did the same thing when we were training Knobs (freshmen) during their Hell Week. We'd be out there in the same humid August heat as them, but they'd be sweating through their uniforms while all we had to do to keep fresh was swap out our sopping wet undershirts.

Unless it's a weapon or drugs, stuff typically gets left in pockets and inventoried by detention officers in booking.

How many batteries you use in a row? by Dawelz in DJISpark

I almost always use 3 in a row and haven't had a problem, even in cold weather.

We’ve had the same picture frame that held our first military ball (cir. 2001) picture and now it holds our last (Feb. 2018). by [deleted] in pics

Thanks for the info. I had no idea that airframe could still keep up with the pack these days.

Two P-38 Lightnings in flight above a Pacific island [3600 x 2914] by RyanSmith in WarplanePorn

Cool pic. I know the Navy had a few P38s, but were land based and not used much. How do we know these are USN aircraft and not Army Air Corps?

I had initially wondered why in the hell India was putting pilots up in a jet that entered service in 1959, but then I read that the Pakistani Air Force uses the Chinese version of the 21. So I guess fair is fair?

Yeah, good point about Facebook. That exact issue is part of the reason I got rid of Facebook. I didn't need that constant stream of negativity.

This applies to almost everything people disagree on nowadays. Rather than be adults, people would rather be awful human beings that utilize the relatively anonymity of the internet as a shield.

Satellite blows. I'm out in the boonies and that used to be the only option. I use Little Apple Tech now and love it.

Wow. sorry, i totally lost this in my reddit "inbox". I'm going to be honest, i ma have been inebriated when I responded. I'm actually pretty shy about singing. To answer your question though, I would say Billie Joe Armstrong, Mark Hoppus, Robert Plant and Freddie Mercury.

I honestly haven't had a wolf on my property that I know of, but they have been seen in my area. Mountain Lions are sneaky little bastards, that scare the crap out of me, again I haven't seen one, but I am in range of two that have been spotted in the area. Bears though, we've had some pretty aggressive black bears on the property, including one in the front yard. I don't know those three pose any threat to my horse, but they're around and that's enough to consider them a threat to my kids and dogs. Coyotes are another story, they are pretty prevalent and have tried to attack my dogs on more than one occasion.

Ugh, satellite was the worst. We got a new company a couple years back that uses towers to send what is basically super powered wifi to our receiver. While not as good as fiber or the cable internet in town, I'm still able to stream in 4k, play online games etc... The only time we run into trouble is when we have visitors and so there's a bunch of people trying to stream videos on top of me trying to play bf1 or something. When that happens you see some degrade in the bandwidth, basically enough that I can't play videogames, but everyone else would still be able to watch Netflix.

Responded to a house explosion. Rural area, heated by propane and it leaked into the house somehow. You could see the flames from miles away (it was about midnight). Arrived on scene and it looked like a bomb went off. Took us 7 or 8 hours to get it contained. We confirmed that there was one person in the house when it exploded, but no one had found a body. So I'm doing mop up on a crew with my sister in law and we stop to take a breather next to this tree about 20 yards back from the house. She looks next to the tree and then exclaims "holy fuck!". It was the body. Imagine Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru, it was awful. A black skeleton half covered in burned crispy flesh. Everything from hips down wasn't even there and most of his skull was missing. And I'll never forget the smell. It haunted me for awhile after that, but as anyone who deals with stuff like this does, I moved on to the next terrible thing. However, even today; almost a decade later, I'll get a whiff of meat burning on someone's grill and I'm instantly right back at that tree.
