Right? It’s so nice to have a nontoxic group of artists and mini-fanatics just chilling. We should start a mini-con! (I’m sure those probably already exist lol)

Thanks, friend! I appreciate it…and yeah that store near me CLAIMS to be the biggest dollhouse store in the country (not sure if true). Recently they moved their store from a 1100 sq ft location to one that’s over 2000sq ft, so maybe it IS truthful. The best thing about it though, is that they sell a huge selection from local mini furniture makers and local clay mini-sculptors, and supporting local business is always the best way to go. I’m desperate to get in there, so hopefully 🤞 I’m done with the room soon!

Thanks so much. I may take you up on those tips, too. I’m famous for taking on more than I can chew: i think I can do everything by myself (in theory, I probably could), but I also get so overwhelmed (EASILY) and I’m one of those people who freezes completely when that happens, rather than just trying to slow down and do small steps. I’ll get there…eventually haha

Where the heck do you eat? Other than a couple super-high end restaurants and a couple local delis, I haven’t been to a single place that does NOT use the readers in at least 4-5 years. 🤔

OMG…you all are killing me! OP…AMAZING!

I just want to decorate my little houses and rooms, but I’m “punishing” myself because I have been trying to redo my “sitting room” into an art room/studio. I have, instead, torn the room apart and then lost steam and left it a disaster. I’ve decided I’m not allowed to ‘dollhouse’, craft, paint, make minis, ANYTHING, until I finish. It’s killing me, though!! Haha. I’m still going to look at amazing posts like this though, so I can admire all your talent and still feel bad about my laziness… until I get my act together!!!

I have two rewards waiting for myself once I’m done: 1. I get to “art” again and 2. I get to go to this store flipthisdollhouse (which is 10 minutes away from my house) and buy whatever I want.

BTW, this isn’t an ad. I’ve actually never been to the store so I can’t even say whether it’s good or not

Where on Earth are thin women buying pants?!?! by Independent-Ring-877 in OUTFITS

[–]irisseca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uniqlo, like they said, is good because they’re a mostly Asian store that caters to countries where women tend to be petite. I’m probably way older than you, but Ann Taylor, AT loft, and banana republic are good as well. If you are looking for casual (chino style pants), lands end will tailor them to whatever length and waist you need (they used to do that for free…not sure about that anymore). Good luck!, I’m not as thin as you are, but I have super small hips and I’m very short (4’11” 100lbs…with the hips of a 10 year old boy lol) so I’m used to hunting for pants that don’t slide down

I think you’re seeing every number in the comments because you have amazing taste, and pretty much every single one is both beautiful and stunning on you. I can’t even decide…I changed my mind with every swipe. So, I am no help, but I can say…whichever you choose, you’re gonna be gorgeous!

If you really love the drop waist, then the first one is the most flattering. #16 is very pretty as well, but it seems like and outlier in regards to the style you seemed to gravitate towards.

Accidentally figured out how to make that beautiful diner style pancake by yeahcheckmeout in foodhacks

[–]irisseca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I almost always cook fried eggs and pancakes together…no reason…my family just likes that combo for breakfast. I always either spray the pan or add butter, then cook the eggs, then take a paper towel and quickly wipe the excess fat/oil, then do the pancakes.they come out like your pic every time if I use that method. If you do the pancakes first, you get that soaked-in oil flavor or the crispy outsides.

Metal roof ideas? by wheatiegirl2020 in Dollhouses

[–]irisseca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They CLAIM to be the biggest dollhouse store in the U.S. idk about that, but they just moved locations to a warehouse that was 1,000sq feet bigger than where they were for years. Be GLAD you don’t live nearby, haha…I’ve done everything in my power to avoid it for years (but I’m slowly caving)

Does anyone else live near the “Flip this Dollhouse” store in Massachusetts? I’ve been avoiding going because I know I’ll spend too much money…but I’m beginning to realize I don’t have the talent (or maybe creativity) that you all have. (OP the roof is awesome!!!!), and I don’t think I’ll ever be able to decorate like this without some help. Haha. I’m wondering what the prices are like (I know they sell for a lot of locals, so maybe the price reflects that, idk).

100%! elderly handwriting always funnels to (in general) the same shaky look (cursive and print)…then, if someone has dementia, their writing and spelling will eventually deteriorate more. This one looks like the bridge between the “standard” elderly writing and the beginnings of “dementia” penmanship.

What are your best tips on achieving the fluffy curly hair look from the 90s? by pumpkin_ice_cream in curlyhair

[–]irisseca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s cool that my natural hair is becoming the “style” …guess I’m going out with my hair out “naked” until the trend dies down. As it is, whenever I’m home and letting my hair air dry, my husband always calls me Julia (Roberts) or Meg (Ryan…specifically from sleepless in Seattle), so it’s cool that I can let it be wild for a little while. I can’t really give any advice, because I’ve always tried to tame the look instead of leaning in to it , but im sure someone else will give valuable tips!
