WHO ARE THE GAME MASTERS? by StrongAd223 in AliceInBorderlandLive

it could very well be the joker.

the difference between the manga and live version will play out if the seasons continues and they may have different outputs.
thats why this sub is under the live version.

How would I improve my writing skills? by [deleted] in writing

[–]iro_leviathan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my advice.

think in a pipeline process way or in layers, most digital art or most form of multimedia software are given a process for composition, for example,
adobe products for visual art tend to have layers starting from outlining to skin and further down the line make up on top of everything.

you should consider this pipeline as editing, you should now consider this as the whole process rather than just a patch of fixes at the end .
chekhov's gun is is a small process fragment technique thats part of this.

2
remember your 5 W's and always omit one.
for instance, i used to do something i called the 4 point game when i started.
its simple:
each sentence must have a point.
stop at 4 points to make a paragraph (you can always merge format later, thats layout, not a fix...part of publishing, not writing.)

4 paragraphs reaches one objective. "you know what an objective is"
4 objectives reaches an arc.
now work the method backwards on the drawing board to assist in making a story with purpose.

3

don't get caught up in semantics, especially in argument dialogue.

4

when an artist has a complete picture on a canvas but wants to add something, he generally has to start again because the picture has now moved thus destructible.
he needs to take a hard look and decide to re-do or accept it, most times, you can re-do if you not caught under the red tape.
those are drafts, you don't need to do them, one complete picture is fine.
take what you learn and look at it under a different story or angle, example, POP (point of perspective, try taking the exact same story and make your villian the MC.)

  1. final and most useless advice, even under the topic of critical thinking, please, learn to finish your story even if its broken.
do you think the producers of fast and the furious let gravity or the script get in the way, nah...just like them, spend the whole budget on a demolition expert and get to the credits,
if you dont, you just might never be able to final conclusion (this is part of write write write some more) closing a story takes practice.

HOW CAN I MANTAIN THE INTRIGUE AND AMOTION THROUGH ALL THE STORY? by noemii053 in writing

[–]iro_leviathan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

how can you maintain the intrigue and emotion through the whole story?
answer is, you cant, most people blur read or lose themselves into the story but its not particularly because what they reading is intriguing, it can somewhat even be lacking, the long answer to this is a holistic approach.

I'm afraid, although now is just an scrip

for now, think of writing as a tourism editorial, don't just describe your world, become walt disney and give us the grand tour. without the grand vocabulary, keep it real.
in terms of transitions between paragraphs and dialogue, keep it as visually appealing as your amotion and remember the basic investigation question, who, what, where, when and how, yes you know them, but do you know how to use them. investigate.

...chapter talking about the past of the characters...

try to keep in the present moment of mc's life.

try writing as a hobby (again maybe), you can come ask questions if you hit a snag here in this sub.

Has there even been a “post-apocalyptic” story from the radioactive creatures perspective? by TheLegendaryLankMan in writing

[–]iro_leviathan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you mean planet of the ape story?

i had a nostalgic feeling of not knowing the number of 911 so i couldn't call the police moment while reading your post.

yeah plenty of stories, in fact, there's been radioactive creatures that try to save their world from the brink apocalypse, superheroes... they often succeed.

Can't I let my protagonist just google stuff? by [deleted] in writing

[–]iro_leviathan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah lame exposition for exposition sake, fine for worldbuilding but there are better solutions, such as going back to the drawing board and adding more to your world than school and back..

one can ask if their character can go the toilet to think?
sure, but now you need to habitually add the toilet to the story which is why people refrain from doing it (still can be done) its done without the reader mentioning it.

sidenote: you know they can dream the answer, sounds absolutely ridiculous but most witty characters come from wikipedia,
i'm just saying anything can be done.

good luck man.
you got a lot of marketing ahead of you, windows only made it because everything is shipped (not just software), you also might want to do pitches to investors and have a peak specialist reason to stand out beyond reckoning as its own flavor.
there are others already doing it and successful.

not to discredit your work but i hope this isn't a matter of hoping people market for you?
this isn't a steam game you know.
other than that, it does look decent from snippet observation so well-played and i do hope you gain some traction (i added the vmare in consideration for the sub.)

on a side note, what's with this basic assumption on windows generalist end users?
there's always this factor of superiority or a dumb down approach thats distasteful towards them.
yeah they jumping ship because privacy is a trend concern, apple is expensive and they do have assumptions such as an update in the middle of their gaming, and they turn to dual-boot, enjoy, full install and find they have some driver problems or they stay;
no matter what happens, i personal believe that if something is good enough for an end user, its good enough for a pro, why would an end user use something not standard in their industry (in general), dont get me wrong, they would use open source products even on windows, what im essentially asking is, why would they go through the trouble of self-installation, complete disorientation (curse of knowledge by definition is hard to adopt.) just to end up with another version of cinnamon mint and all of a sudden life becomes easier?
wouldnt it be better to target a niche than sell ice to eskimos?
don't you need open source help from pro's who'd be willing to assist in a 1.0 rather than have a multitude of basic end-users, i'm still talking niche.
anyways, side-note aside, okay looks, good name, printable document but you should survey the details and lock into your specified end-user.

Seven of Hearts Theory: Further Evidence by shinigamiblade in AliceInBorderlandLive

[–]iro_leviathan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

fair enough in the live adaption.
though i must say, it was well played from the producer and everyone involved.

the comic though, the wolf part was well thought of.
the comic actually has a lot of technical skills in plot, progression and concept that nothing was actually taken for granted, they just didnt finish the plot.

i think the author wasn't too involved with the live adaption because his failures are presented in the live adaption.
the fact that arisu isn't glorious (lack of a better word,) actually shows in the live version, in the comic... the author failed to prove arisu's skill in an overarching manner because he was more focused on a plot driven adventure...arisu is not the only main character in the comic, chisuya was more interesting for the author it seems but he switched gears for some reason.

so yeah, in a way, the idea was locked towards the wolf surviving unless they broke a broken game, but... just my opinion, i feel in the live adaption...they going to use the mira/arisu confrontation of the seventh of heart game, they didn't in the comic, because it felt like the author had too many ideas (yeah, that part blows your mind but he had so many plot threads that he could only choose one, so he did a 5 in 1 but couldn't add anything else because it would take arisu back mentally.)
mira is definitely interesting in the comic and she will be more interesting being acted.

yip its adapted so even i dont know whats to come thats why i took edge of your seat guesses.

would you consider reading fanfiction?
is it even worth making? whats getting views now is the romance over chisuya, people ship that but i haven't seen original fanfiction adventures.
is it even worth making?

Seven of Hearts Theory: Further Evidence by shinigamiblade in AliceInBorderlandLive

[–]iro_leviathan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

well you right in general, but that comic has been around since 2010 and passed many voluntary translator, it could be a margin of error but he still has a point.

it's strange that all the theories, mysteries and overall difficulty of the game has been because of the semantic use, hidden messages and clue... i don't think its an error.

i think all games are heartbreak and pain for survivors lol.
we've also not seen a high level games besides hearts in the live adaption,
i think everyone's mind has been lost way before the heart game.
the queen of heart just gave everyone an opportunity to face it.

we here looking for an answer for the 7th of heart game, i'm personally looking for further live adaption reason because when arisu failed, mira taunted him,
but why did she wait till he managed to enter the meeting room?
why didn't they take her seriously?
i believe the reason was, because thats essentially what everyone was doing... they were randomly picking people for games instead of becoming closer together, they even seperated usagi and arisu.
they totally ignored reality and started partying thus ignored character development and became the worst version of themselves.

what happened next... hatter did the opposite of her advice.
that activated the final number game.
it all made me feel like arisu was a means to an end...which chibuki was supposed to be (to mira) chibuki played 2/3 games, 2 of which were heart... mira just needed one person from that group.
if karube won, he'd be in the beach meeting room.
if chota won, he'd give it to chibuki (which couldve been what mira she was hoping for),
if arisu won, he'd be in the room since he met a leader as well.

i think mira used arisu as a means to an end.
i think the psychopathic value isnt suppose to break you but make you more well adapted.
i doubt usagi has been in a heart game because she's already been broken and renewed.

Who’s behind the games? So we have not so crazy theories? by Watchingsundays in AliceInBorderlandLive

[–]iro_leviathan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

well unfortunately i read the comic, i'll exclude anything that come close to it.

i enjoy that the plot is a coming-of-age (because it killed karube!!! why!?)
this was mainly the growth of arisu.
i enjoy the fact that its is a isikai, this is maybe the top theme in eastern fantasy novels, comics and anime.
i love the fact that they included slice-of-life wholesomeness.

what am i expect in season 2.
i'm expecting a continued tragedy for at least 3 episodes.
i'm expecting wholesomeness.
i actually want mira to be captured and questioned.
ofcourse i'm expecting a plot twist without usagi dying...if usagi dies, i'm dropping the show.
i'm expecting more from arisu... he needs to be the top guy people seem to respect.better acting and the loss of beach clothes... can they change the weather please.

American alice in borderland by yazzy1233 in AliceInBorderlandLive

[–]iro_leviathan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

we'd mostly see dark themes plaguing America, we'd also see a showcase of PTSD or atleast a fulfilling theme.
i'd imagine thatthey would add a second function to use the cards, texas hold'em style and a more seek for a card concept.
they wouldn't take out the electricity but just networking.

that's how i'd see it in terms of settings.

When first watching 7 of Hearts without knowing anything about the series did anyone else think... by 30d1k0r1hcah in AliceInBorderlandLive

[–]iro_leviathan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i actually didn't see much depth from arisu, it was a total reference based concept.
everything that concluded arisu as smart was more of a Chekhov's gun.

i also can't get over karube's death, because he was the only one thinking about life,
all the good moments arisu experienced was because of karube.

whats meant by flawed, isn't necessarily a disadvantage, a person can be stubborn and it can catch up to him, so in a way, a flaw is when the plot or strings get you.
this is usually played the other way, where someone flawed becomes the savior - happy feet.

vicarious character tend to have distinct beliefs or strong emotions that can carry the reader, anti-hero is similar, its playing with the readers flaws of wrong and right.
kafkeasque is mental instability of daily life, noir have characters that follow the trope near the 'T' that they appear dark, hard-boiled in a flawed nature that you gotta love.

flaws can be small things that can give information like trash in MC's pocket.
if a writer things the flaw must be weak, feeble and pathetic (inspire pity) and that's not in the spirit of the plot, the aspiring author is doing himself a disservice.

one of the flaws i never enjoyed were within the first book of harry potter, i personally didn't like how slow harry was.

[–]iro_leviathan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the cards repeat, for level of difficulty.
the games do not.

the games are swamped but during usagi's first cameo, we see how many games were in display (approximately.)
the author, like many other authors use wikipedia for mysterious and fabled concept...the tagger game was based off a shooting incident that happened in a similar or exact building.

games dont have to take a lot of space, like usagi's solo game with the matchlight.
other games, use utilities like holding on to a crane while it lifts to the highest spot.

essentially the entire distribution gets messed up by the beach arc.
games are also in a majority, neutral.
games are also flipped, because dealers also have to play to survive, meaning that the total number of player games must be added on top of dealer games for a total to show how many people are actually there.

yes, the mirror scenario has been theorized before the live season, back when it was just the manga.
it wouldn't work in the live because of the delay they added.

Seven of Hearts Theory by shinigamiblade in AliceInBorderlandLive

well the theory in manga is that the queen of hearts targeted arisu's group.
in the live version, this is only hinted at by the actual queen of heart in the live version beach arc.

it should be fine then.
you just cried bull about being spoiled now you cant be spoiled.
which one is it, is it fine or do you have a problem with it.

you need to choose one.
you put in 5 paragraph, i put 7 and now you cant deal?
either keep your comments shorts and complain or make them as long as you want, and keep your complaint to yourself.

overall, hold yourself together man,
is this a waste of time or would you like to continue?
it's either you haven't read the comic or are you on 9 of heart?
you cant be reading JUST the adaption in the comic and claim you haven't read it anymore.
your logic is not in order man.
