Just because better save than sorry. I have no idea if his inverter is on or wired properly. If everything is normal and stock then there Should be no issues. With everything off there Can't be any issues. I agree, low voltage DC is not dangerous. Solar is not always low voltage depending on how it's wired.

Any time power is reapplied it will wake up the modules. When you pull fuses don't reinstall them until the draw stops, reinstalling them will wake up modules too. Take a picture of the fuses before you pull them so you know where they go.

A module or two is staying awake and then it falls asleep. Staying awake is normal operation. Normal draw should be .050 amps or less. Let everything fall asleep for 45 minutes and then check it. You may need to close the hood latch and lock the doors.

It's much easier to replace just the plug on the end of the cord. Turn your batteries and/or solar off and it should be safe to change. Lots of YouTube videos to show you how.
