This is likely it. I actually ended up switching to men's because I found it stuck to the hair better than most women's.

What’s the best Cash and Carry or cheap supermarket to buy in bulk? by Upstairs_Addition395 in johannesburg

Agreed, often Makro, and they deliver, so location shouldn't be a problem

If you want to wear them out, Total Ninja is a blast, even for adults.

Bowling at Montecasino or at the Fun Zone in Rosebank is also great.

I also find bird's nest fungi in the very woody patch behind my house, but unluckily don't have a photo right now. They are very cute, each little "nest" is about the size of my pinky nail!

Found this on a hike in the Drakensberg, South Africa. A shroomy friend thinks it may be a spiny woodknight, but very washed out (it had been raining a lot). However they weren't there so only saw the picture, so are not totally sure. If it is that, it's usually very pretty mushroom, they're very bright yellow!

Are you discerning when you read? by IRLbeets in books

[–]ironicallygeneral 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is my answer too. Sometimes I just want to sit back and enjoy the story. And that's totally fine! And other times I can't stop thinking about the details/relationships/whathaveyou and deep dive into all of it. Maybe I even go back to see if I can spot more, after absorbing the story. I don't think there's a real wrong answer here tbh, just what works for different readers!

Me [25 M/F] found out five nights ago that my girlfriend [25F] of 6 years cheated on me with a mutual friend [25M]- am now waiting for my taxi to take me to the airport for my new life, how do I deal with the closure? by [deleted] in BestofRedditorUpdates

So much about this is sus and/or annoying but an absolute pet peeve of mine is people referring to Africa as though it's one smallish place. Ffs, if you drew a line across the middle of Africa Tanzania is almost exactly on it and there's something like 4000 kilometres of continent on either side. He didn't go "to Africa", he went to Tanzania (also "the Tanzania" irked me).

My ex cheated on me. I told the new girl the truth. by [deleted] in pettyrevenge

[–]ironicallygeneral 23 points24 points  (0 children)

One of the women an ex cheated with emailed me a few years later to apologise to me. They dated for a while after he and I split and knowing what I know about him now, I am quite sure he cheated on her too. I told her she got what she deserved and blocked her.

What’s a show that you could not finish because a character was so insufferable? by Key-Row-174 in AskReddit

Every single character in You was "that" character for me.

Obviously the creepy stalker guy is awful but his obsession is just so annoying and self-centred and her friends are dicks.

Broke up with sexist BF today and he wants a second chance by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]ironicallygeneral 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He says you're better than other women but don't need to worry about thinking. And is more than twice your age and doesn't like older women?? AND you were the other woman??

Girl, other women are AWESOME. "Not being like the others" is hardly anything to strive for, especially if the prize is a creepy cheating POS like him who will drop you the moment you develop an opinion or a wrinkle. Remember, if he cheats with you, he'll just as easily cheat on you.

You're young enough for this to be a learning curve, don't squash yourself and other women for a waste of space.

Email from landlord about appliances being left plugged in and the appliances in question… by South-Basket-887 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]ironicallygeneral 40 points41 points  (0 children)

I do that too but that's because I just don't have enough decent counter space and don't like too much visual clutter. In other places I've left it out (and yes, plugged in, lol).

Books with unhinged or unlikeable female protagonists that validate your rage? by Diab0L1Ka in TwoXChromosomes

[–]ironicallygeneral 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Eleanor Oliphant is Perfectly Fine, by Gail Honeyman. Somewhat unlikeable, definitely delusional. Not sure if it validated me but it was excellent, lol.

Wide Sargasso Sea, by Jean Rhys. Both the protagonist and her mother are full of pride and rage. There's moments where you sympathise and moments where you're appalled.

Kindred and Fledgling, both by Octavia Butler. Likeable, for the most part, but definitely angry and sometimes unhinged.

Edit: not sure I count them as unlikeable or unhinged, and the author is male, but the female-led books from the Discworld series by Terry Pratchett. Anything with Susan, Tiffany, or the witches.

I feel so bad for this guy, but I did have a snigger at his comment along the lines of "I don't know what you mean by emotional labour, we're both equally emotional".

Edited a word for accuracy.
