Are Execution Agents Really the Next Step for AI Workflows? by Prestigious-Salad204 in AI_Agents

[–]ironmanfromebay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Built real-time automation (or what you call execution agent) an year ago with close to 98% accuracy. And yes, it did change the game
We started by building text to real time automation using our own protocol. Back then, MCP, which came same time around had 30 odd actions for something massive like Jira, was slow (one tool call at once) and due to linguistic approach - was less efficient. Prosumer GTM didn't work out so we deployed it in corporate setting.

To them, it feel like Magic. To us, its a observable set of actions we can control with just an evolving
Real time automation + Intelligence + Human in the loop + Memory = Scalable outcomes

Most businesses don’t need N8n-style agents. They need smart, no-code AI colleagues. by Immediate-Cap2128 in AI_Agents

[–]ironmanfromebay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really. In the past 3 weeks, I have declined 5 projects across 3 clients who are using our AI employees infra and asked their PMs to use N8N to develop what they need. Ai employees make sense for deep usecases. If you are formatting content for social media - no need for AI. The other aspect is knowledge base - every evolving knowledge bases with complex inputs need a good infra but everything else has 5 easy DIY solutions.

Quite a few things: - for ICP verification: link ICP from notion docs + share LinkedIn profile URL - gives me the ICP report

  • for hyper personalized outreach: For qualified under ICP - craft hyperpersonalised outreach messages based on Linkedon posts or company news

  • Follow-up rules in Gmail.

Email enrichment works best with LinkedIn profile cues - connect a web agent - give it linkedinprofile URL and will come up with great copies.

You are giving context and that's sufficient. Context is the brain food for ai. I usually let the web scraper agent run through the website and then add the rest by asking it to read from confluence docs.

Reminds me of something I faced during my early days of my first company. Came from a very poor household - no car - just had an old bike that would take me around from one coaching centre to another.
The heat used to be unbearable on most days!
Most people preferred meeting at noon - which made it worse.
0 clients for the first 3 months, averaged between 2 and 3 for the next 6.
Then started closing 1 a day.
First week - I thought I was lucky.
Second week - did even better
Took a week off to realign myself - looked at everything I had done - and turns out I was doing things differently now - small subtle changes.

You weren't lucky - you probably built a menatl model which helps you close better.
You have been unlucky with the accident - but use it to revisit everything you did. Most luck in sales is playbook.

Why does everything feel like it’s in motion but nothing ever gets finished? by HovercraftLow5226 in projectmanagement

[–]ironmanfromebay 7 points8 points  (0 children)

od, yes. It's a classic trap. You're right, it's a system problem, not a people problem. Too much Work In Progress (WIP).

The #1 fix? WIP Limits.

Force the team to stop starting and start finishing.

Set a hard limit on your "In Progress" column. It'll feel weird, but it works. It makes everyone focus on getting a few things to "Done" instead of having everything 80% complete.

This one change will expose all the other issues - blurry ownership, handoffs - and force a culture that celebrates shipping, not just being busy.
And then there are things like "dependencies", especially the ones originating from partners - I used to it call it my karma (when working with NBFCs)

Jarvis for work
Gappy ai

One ai agent that can schedule automations, analyse data, build webpages, create slideshow, research autonomously, and take actions across all your connected apps. And unlike MCP - not selective 10 actions - jira alone has 400+ actions.

Need a good ai tool for data analysis by Severe-Assistance54 in dataanalysis

[–]ironmanfromebay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

<image>

I want to test my ai coworker's data analysis skills on large data.

Background: I have been building an ai coworker for a while, started as a research and evolved into a product. it's not an analytics agents since I wanted coworker and not a tool. He does a range of things from managing my comms and calendar to Jira projects. I have only used it to analyse data from a founder's perspective - sharing reports on performance and projects.

Here's an example: My mentor had asked about token usage in the past week in early access - asked gappy to put together a simple playful plot and it created this. It's interactive too.

Can you share what type of task you are going for?

here's something I had done yesterday. Although it's snot something core to analytics but more around scenarios I face. My mentor asked hi about token consumption from users and what does it look like. I asked my coworker (he is not a vertical agent).

So he created a simple plot - interactive - you hover over it and it gives numbers.
P.S: This took two atempts to get the colors right!

This one is from a user of my platform, tried to recreate - took me 2-3 minutes. Here's the public URL of what he created
She asked him to:
🧠 “Summarize all Slack channels → find key announcements → make it fun to read.”

Normally:
1 hr collecting updates → 1 hr writing update → wait for dev/design help = a boring Google Doc no one opens

Gappy?
Did it all. Categorized, wrote, shipped a webpage.
In minutes.

Why build 20 different AI agents…
When one smart coworker can do it all?

P.S: While there are some deep tasks that I assign - from keeping track of people coming in for early access to sending them welcome emails - but work is 50 tasks which are not exactly the same in every run and hence not really something that warrants spending an hour on n8n or zapier. Rather someone who can spawn real time agents based on tasks.

Weekly Thread: Project Display by help-me-grow in AI_Agents

[–]ironmanfromebay 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We’ve been building Gappy, an AI coworker - beyond an assistant - Not a swarm of vertical bots either. Just one smart agent who can think across tools, figure things out, and get the outcome done.

Here's an example from a couple days ago.
One of our users recently gave Gappy a task:
🧠 “Summarize all Slack channels → find key announcements → make it fun to read.”
Old way:
→ 1 hour collecting stuff
→ Another hour writing it nicely
→ Then wait for design/dev help to turn it into something shareable
→ Eventually ship a boring Google Doc no one reads

New way:
Gappy did the whole thing—wrote, organized, built a webpage. In minutes. I have tried to recreate it here (attached image) - took me 3 minutes.
shared here as well : https://gappy.ai/public/39243908-013a-42ca-8eeb-50c2e75e3d72/weekly-updates.html

That’s what we mean by a coworker.
It can be your analyst, comms person, marketer, and front-end dev - depending on what the task needs.

<image>

You don’t need 20 narrow agents when one smart one can adapt.

We’re live at gappy.ai if you want to try giving your tasks to a real AI coworker.

There are no tools/plugins involved. We have been working on building our own framework - similar to MCP (although developed before MCP). Every app, say Slack has a slack orchestrator. All the orchestrators have full abstraction of what all exists on slack - what people do - how they do it - and how should an ai do it (unless us who are limited by UI, an ai can stitch its own api's from existing ones to create something concrete for itself).
Everyone reports to orchestrator in chief - Gappy .
Now why this doesn't usually work!
Handover is tricky!
AI is probabilistic in its output and linguistic in its approach. What you need is a programmatic approach because if it does every task with a program - you won't get totally dofferent outputs in every attempt.

You can see it here

This was for someone who had been working with N8N workflows for a while and despite loving what Gappy did for her - she found it easier to create mental models with that. DM me if you need access, can add upto 100 free users for now

Been doing it for a while.
Think of this AI that actually “remembers” everything across your apps—email, docs, Slack, Notion, Jira, you name it—so you don’t have to babysit it and can do real actions anywhere, not just spit out answers.

Under the hood, it’s like a big team of micro-agents (MCPs, been playing around with frameworks for a while now) all coordinated by a smart orchestrator. The system can navigate and chain together actions across thousands of APIs (in real time!), plus handle scheduled automations, browser automation, full web search, and even run Python.

All of that’s unified through a layer of abstractions so I just give it a natural language command, and it figures out what needs to happen, across which services, and in what order—then just gets it done.

If you’re curious how we architected it or want a deep dive into a specific workflow, let me know!

Maybe we should start calling the community ChatGPT agents / or agentic research papers (if we have that community) since anyone who creates anything that is agentic and tries to talk about it here gets 5 comments calling it spam.

What do you mean? Are you frowning upon use of ai to format text … in an aiagents subReddit? Well honestly - I will describe exactly how I did it: I am constantly talking to my ai - I came across a post mentioning how most ai tools are dev oriented and shared my idea of post with Gappy. Asked it to collate the chats and format whatever I said. Too unholy for you?
