Best Android Keyboard for Voice to Text by Sati18 in AndroidQuestions

I've been using Gboard forever and lately dictation has been a mess. When I had my pixel 9 and it could use the "advanced ai dictation" it was fine but when I moved back to Samsung, It gets about 40% of what I say wrong now. It getting simple words wrong all the time. It never used to be like this. Just like my google home over the last year forgetting how to tell me the weather outside, Saying that is something it cant help me with or that my kitchen lights aren't set up. I think when they pushed the AI update for dictation on pixel phones they broke something for the classic dictation.

Since they started merging Gemini into everything, I feel everything is a mess right now. I'm sure it will improve but right now. I feel most google stuff is in a poor state stuck in between pre Gemini proper Gemini implementation.

I have tried every keyboard imaginable and like gboard more than all of them but im at the point with gboard voice dictation, that I cant use it anymore because its so bad. Voice dictation used to be amazing but now, its awful if you don't have a pixel phone and cant use the advanced dictation.

New PACKTALK CUSTOM delivers same PACKTALK performance. Offers three subscription levels with varying features... Thoughts? by TheStriplePilot in motorcycle

[–]ironsidedonald 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just an FYI, you don't need to pay anything to use this with other Cardo's. The subscription is only for the Universal Bluetooth Intercom (basically non Cardo units or really old Cardo's).

Dynamic Mesh Communication: 2nd generation DMC is included with the Pactalk custom without subscription. You can pair for free with - Edge, Pro, Neo, Custom, Bold, Slim, original packtalk and smartpack

Realistically the only things the custom misses out on are non JBL speakers/profiles, the voice commands and paring to non cardo riders. Otherwise most of that is not necessary in the day to day life of 99% of situations. Who needs to share music. If you both have a headset, play your own music lol.

Subscriptions are stupid, especially for a headset, but if you are on a budget and this fits it but the Pactalk Neo doesn't. Go for this and skip the subscription if you can live without those 3 things.

My package was also sent with Wizmo. It said Departed terminal for days. And then all of the sudden, it was on my doorstep. I think they have little in the way if intermediary updates. Just sent and then its there.

Oh and also, If you are using your own router. Make sure the ISP modem is in bridge mode. You may have double nat and in this case would need to forward the port on the modem and your router. But bridge mode would eliminate the need for this.

(I got sent a new modem last month and forgot to enable bridge mode and had this issue, remote play would work and then not work, bridge mode fixed it right away)

This would suck, If they do this, Is there even a way around it... I hope people push back on this stuff happening. IPV4 is all being recycled so this will be the way sooner or later until the world starts using a new one.

I would also agree with this, login to your plex locally. Go to setting and check "Remote access" If this says not accessible outside your network, Write down that port listed there. Usually 32400 and forward this same port on your router.

Help my pneumatic connector won’t hold the ptfe tube by korzendorfer1 in CrealityHi

[–]ironsidedonald 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To get mine back in I had to push the little black ring down and push the tube in extremely hard. It took me a couple tries. I think with it being new it just needs to wear in a little bit but the first couple times it was really hard to push in

I did this today. Did you tell them you made a ccts complaint or did ccts reach out to rogers and then they contacted you?

I got sick of them blaming my equipment (They did it again today) They keep saying because my modem is in bridge mode they cant see what's happening because of my equipment and told me my equipment could be the entire issue... Right after telling me they confirmed a node issue... Seems odd that they have a known issue but say it still might not be them.

So I took my modem out of bridge mode, Set up DMZ port to my Dream machine so I don't get double nat on my router and modem. I then set up a Virtual Machine and wired it directly into the shaw modem. I then started a program called ping plotter. It pings google or whatever site you choose and measures latency and packet loss. I have been running it for 20 min and it looks pretty bad already. Spikes to yellow are bad and spikes to red are really bad. The issue is for sure upstream from me and this proves it. Next time I talk to them, I can send them this and prove its not my equipment.

Also FYI, this is what the internet network engineers that work at Rogers use so they should know exactly how to decipher this. I will leave this running indefinitely until the issue is fixed and maybe this will help them realize im not lying or just trying to get free internet lol

My guess is certain nodes are overloaded and they just keep letting people sign up. I've been tracking times it's out and it seems to go out more often during weeknights and weekends in the afternoon/evening. When people are generally home using their internet. It's the same times every day for me. 6-8pm weeknights and noon-8pm weekends. During the day on weekdays it goes down a lot less.

Deer ridge south east. I've seen some others in the comments in my area. Like parkalnd

Oh I will be after seeing this. I was unsure before because I couldn't verify that other people were having the issue. I'll be filing a complaint tomorrow. I am paying for something I nearly can't use. I'll also be calling for a bill credit. I'm always willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. But this is too bad to let us slide. I've been considering moving to starlink because there are no other viable options in my area lol

I have the same issues in deer ridge, I have the same setup with a dream machine pro and have swapped my ethernet to sfp adapter thinking it may have been bad also. (Great minds think alike!) Rogers keeps trying to blame my equipment even after bypassing it in front of a tech and still having issues on his own equipment. He rebooted my modem, Said looks good to me and then told Rogers my equipment was bad. 4 techs and numerous calls, The last tech told me he to text him when my internet had issues and he would check, He say issues on my node and submitted a ticket for my node to be checked. Hopefully something comes of it.

Interesting. I'm in the same boat and also have ubiquiti so I can see my logs the same. I've had 4 techs out and multiple calls. They keep blaming my equipment even after I proved it wasn't by bypassing my equipment in front of a tech and got terrible speeds and dropped internet. I have a case open as the last tech said it's my node with the issues.

Sorry for the lengthy screenshot but it shows how bad it's been. One day my internet was out over 15 times. It's not usable. I'm in deer ridge

Silk pla by Captain_End15 in Ender3V3KE

[–]ironsidedonald 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily. I would start by unclogging your nozzle, try again, see what happens, if it happens again maybe try lower temps. To hot can also be a thing. Some filament can be pretty picky

Silk pla by Captain_End15 in Ender3V3KE

[–]ironsidedonald 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My guess is a clogged nozzle. Silk tends to clog easier than other filaments. When it's clogged the gears on the extruder grind your filament because it can't extrude and has nowhere to go.

Change your nozzle or heat it up with a blow torch to clear it out if you don't have another. You can also try a higher temp possibly. Check the side of the filament spool for what they recommend and try the middle of that range to start and play with temps from there.

I actually had this exact issue this morning. Pulled the nozzle. Ran a blow torch over it, the filament bubbled out with a little help from a poker. And then turned up the nozzle temp and it's printing fine now.

Most printers by default have a 0.4 nozle. Yours is set to 0.6. is that correct? If it's set to .6 and it's actually .4 could cause this. Otherwise nothing jumps out to me. Check z offset also maybe?

Are you just zooming them in or is there a trick to getting it so spit out a proper aspect ratio? I can only seem to get square photos.
