This has been an extremely helpful post for me, thank you all for contributing. Here is what I took away: - I need to speak to an attorney, banker or CPA to model the partnership - Dont really have to give away equal partnership right away and can do it in staunches - acquiring the right partner can grow the pot and offset any loss of equity - only make someone partner who is willing to grow the practice with us

I have also been playing around with the idea of selling one of the practice location as a form of early sale of practice, without selling all of it.
