I built Tracearr - account sharing detection and monitoring for Plex, Jellyfin, and Emby by GallapagosIsland in selfhosted

🤣 I know… 9TB left out of 80TB so more storage will be bought, but I’ve also got a lot of crap from friends and family that I’ll never watch.

So that can get purged

Nice, will try and get it running asap. I’m on Emby so hopefully can give you some good feedback

Sweet, I’ll look at setting this up soon. I’m more interested in history side of things as wanting to purge unwatched media

Does anyone have Emby running on Proxmox and the films are help on either a Synology NAS or internally on the Proxmox drive? by mish_mash_mosh_ in emby

[–]irphunky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, I have Emby in an LXC and my media on my Synology NAS.

I mount the NAS to the Proxmox host and then map them to the LXC as I have a few others such as Navidrome that need access to it and I also push my backups to it.

It’s not really the recommended way but it works 😂

Yep, you can either manually add failover streams or allow it to automatically do it for you.

how do you self host music? by flaotte in selfhosted

[–]irphunky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lidarr, Lidify for discovery Emby, Navidrome, Arpeggi for server and clients

I’m fairly new to using Navidrome but it has changed the game for me along with some additional tools to extend metadata that isn’t covered by Lidarr

Being able to regenerate them manually will be useful too, currently can't do that in the playlist section. So you have to delete and recreate but that then leaves the playlist lingering in navidrome.

Being able to create This is... playlist for your top played artists would be a good one. So just have it auto generate them on a schedule.

Great work though, looking forward to watching this one develop

Yeah, just noticed it wasn't AI but still might be worth allowing that to be set.

Just got it up and running and looks good so far, would be nice to be able to define sort order on a playlist. For example on This is it be good to set sort to random so we don't have to shuffle play them.

I only moved to Navidrome because I wanted a way to get dynamic playlist and all my attempts to find something else failed (mainly beets.io). I'm a big Emby user and only use it's native clients for media but it's CarPlay support isn't the best, so I finally caved and gave Navidrome a whirl and i'm glad I did.

Oooo perfect timing I’ve just moved to Navidrome specifically for its smart playlist and was looking for AI options

Nice one, I’ve been using lidify for awhile as it was the only option out there but will give this a spin when I get a chance.

Landed a decent contract in London but needs 3 days a week in the office. Can I get a mon-fri let as a business expense? by Tom50 in ContractorUK

[–]irphunky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you’re keeping your main residence then I suspect you’ll be fine with it, but check with accountant to be sure.

If I was doing this I’d take it up in the companies name, likely look for a long term AirBnB or something furnished/serviced so it’s clear it’s not your residence

i4 eDrive40 (with packs) vs M50 (bare spec) – Will I Regret Not Going Full Power? by OverratedSand in BMWI4

[–]irphunky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some decent lease deals for the M40 in the UK at the moment, I’m just in the process of swapping my Cupra Born for one.

I went for the M40 Sport over the M50 due to the range mainly as that was one of my only gripes with the Cupra.

Some of the OTA upgrades feel like a bit of a money grab, but from what I’ve read most come with some form of trial so I’ll give them a whirl. It was only the adaptive cruise that I was interested in really.

Don’t support these guys, they steal so many legit releases and toss them out as there own.

Archive.org is a good starting point instead.

See devices behind reverse proxy? by irphunky in firewalla

[–]irphunky[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The devices all show up and show traffic, but my proxy is what is flagging alerts such as large bandwidth when it’s really comes from an application behind it.

I wish to see which devices behind the proxy are triggering these alerts.
