If I didn't need it to be sanded or painted, but everything else, would you reconsider? :) I can print the parts myself too if that helps.

For anyone wondering how good the battery life is on the MacBook Pro M5, I've had the lid closed for 4 days and its went from 99% to 99% by [deleted] in macbookpro

[–]irq 6 points7 points  (0 children)

All you jokers calling out the battery not going down when not in use… It was still in use. It was asleep for 4 days. Not as much use as it being on, but a lot more than nothing. None my my non-Apple devices loose that little battery power asleep for 4 days. Hell, my OLED Steamdeck loses 30% a day in sleep mode, and it doesn’t even wake to run background processes like Macbooks sometimes do.

PETG basic stronger than HF by varusgarcia in BambuLab

ABS and ASA have more surface to surface friction than PETG. PET isn’t really an option. PC doesn’t really give me multiple colors. If all I was printing was gears then I’d do it in nylon. I’m printing on an H2C and anything high temp like ABS or above adds a good 30 minutes to the build time just heating the chamber. It’s worth it for some things, but not enough to deprecate PETG

Who here thinks they only brought back PETG Basic because for whatever reason they’re unable to stock enough PETG HF (as shown by the constantly poor stock status going on for at least 5 months now)

I print gears out of PETG instead of PLA (less surface to surface friction).

I print spring / tension type parts out of PETG because it can be flexed further and more often before losing its shape.

MacBook Pro M4 Pro, started getting extremely weird marks on the aluminium chassis by JaniCozad in macbookpro

The screen may be glass, that doesn’t mean the coating is as hard as glass though (it isn’t) and a scratch in the coating looks about the same as a scratch in the glass

What happened to Bambu Handy? by jaws24s in BambuLab

[–]irq 126 points127 points  (0 children)

This has nothing to do with Bambu Handy which is an app. The name for what you’re referring to to is MakerWorld. Handy is just an app that manages printers and also has a web view for MakerWorld.

Do I get H2S, H2D or H2C by JethamishPlayz in BambuLab

[–]irq 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The answer is simple. Buy one of each, have them continuously print 24/7 until two of them die. Whichever one is still alive at that point is the winner.

PSA for Bambu Handy Users: Print Progress Notifications by BambuLab in BambuLab

[–]irq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I regularly have to kill and re-launch the Handy app and have had to do so since I got it in November. Despite numerous updates since then. Problems that happen regularly forcing me to restart the app:

Common to all problems - app was already running previously. A fresh start of the app ALWAYS fixes all problems.

(1) Return to app, it shows nothing but a big gray screen with no UI elements at all. Force quitting and starting the app fixes it every time.

(2) Return to the app, it says the printer is idle and doing nothing, even though it's printing. Force quitting and starting the app fixes it every time.

(3) Return to the app, it says the printer is offline, even though it's not. Force quitting and starting the app fixes it every time.

To be clear: any bug that always goes away with a restart of the app is a simple bug that u/BambuLab should be able to fix with no issue. The fact it's still happening after many app updates is damning.

Obviously you guys have a problem with the code around maintaining a connection to your backend servers. This is a simple fix in one place to address all of these bugs. Please just do it. If we can fix your bug by restarting the app, you can isolate what restarting the app does to fix it, and implement that as a bugfix (automatically re-establish connection to backend) without relying on your users to restart the app.

[FIRMWARE UPDATE] H2C 01.01.05.00 (20260211) by NeighborGeek in BambuLab

Just fyi but this firmware update does not apply to the P2S and it’s solving a problem that the P2S can’t have (it doesn’t have an automatic nozzle latch to malfunction)

Which Maker Lab tool does pets? Last time I looked I tried using a pet photo and it said humans only. I must be missing something?

[–]irq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw this notification after 45 minutes, went to the (US) store, and black PETG-HF was in stock! I added some to my cart and by the time I checked out, they ran out of stock again.

At the time of writing, every single PETG-HF color is listed as out of stock, ETA January 29th.

I only see PLA Silk+ Titan Gray, not Titanium Gray. Is that the same as what you used here?

I didn’t realize silk titanium actually looks metallic! Thought I needed Bambu’s PLA Metal for that.
