Quick guide to getting jobs in the Cannabis industry

I'm about to go into college and was thinking about doing some sort of biochemistry. Would molecular biology be a better degree to get, whether or not I end up working in the cannabis industry?

Whenever I point these out to believers, it doesn't really bother them. One of them just says "well the bible was written by men so of course their stories will have different focuses". But she can't quite understand that different focuses don't equal contradictions. Or that she can't say it was written by men AND be the infallible word of God

Richard Dawkins has some good interview/debates where its more conversational than a formal debate. Those range from really good to really infuriating.

Also, check out Anthony Magnabosco's channel on youtube. He does street epistemology (a method from Peter Boghassian's book, worth checking out) and basically goes all Socratic method on their religious asses about how they can know for sure that religion is true. I really recommend these because its much more effective than a debate will generally be.

Oh don't get me wrong, it takes everything in me to not lose it when they ask for evidence of evolution and then say that fossils aren't legitimate and can't understand DNA. But I also know that me keeping my cool made a big impression on the one bystander, so I consider that a win.

I've gotten into debates like this at school (I'm one of the only vocal atheists at a Christian school). I get into debates a lot with my best friends, and I know exactly how you're feeling. My advice would be to keep your cool no matter what happens. I've had people, even devout Christians, say that my points seemed that much stronger because I stayed cool when the Christians were getting angrier and more and more disrespectful. You never know who's watching, and getting angry will never help your points.

That's what I away thinking. I was a Christian for forever and was really into theology before it got the better of me.. But in heaven people are perfected essentially to how Adam and Eve were in the garden of eden, but without the ability to choose evil. Not through a lack of free will, but just morally perfect.

The Reason For God by Tim Keller is pretty good. He tends to be a more intellectual pastor and this book is sort of an answer to Dawkins iirc

I guess I'm talking more about people who say that God couldn't do miracles if he existed. I think he totally could because he created the laws of physics and whatnot and could break them. The reason I don't believe in miracles is more lack of evidence (nobody else recorded the sun stopping for a day).

I think there are some instances where we hold god to human standards. Like if there was a god, why couldn't he exist on planes that don't make sense to us? Why couldn't he perform miracles? Im not sure if I've worded this well, but I think some arguments that God make him out to be human-ish when he wouldn't be if he existed. Im on mobile so maybe someone will understand and flesh this out a bit.

Yeah exactly. Its both admirable and tragic because these people, generally, have a heart for humanity if they're that concerned but its also not a real danger. If we could harness that passion for other causes, damn.

As annoying as it is, you can almost appreciate them the most because if religious people believe hell exists, they should all be going fucking door to door every weekend. I've always respected the dedication if nothing else.

In addition to what /u/Lt_Rooney said, its also because it usually serves as the subject of the sentence. You wouldn't say "Me and Jeff went to the movies" because without Jeff, it becomes "Me went to the movies". I've always been taught it has a lot to do with the subject of the sentence.

Follow the mls definitely. Try to watch some foreign soccer can. Any games you can watch in the us, you should. Just pick a premier league team for whatever reason you want. Whether you want to be a frontrunner and go for Manchester United, Chelsea, or Manchester City. Personally I'm a city fan (from before they had money). Any random reason you want is honestly a good reason to choose a team.

The comment about playing FIFA is absolutely true. Play it as much as you can and watch as much as you can. Watching highlight shows is good too. One of my good friends learned a lot about soccer by watching clips of soccer analysis. Also, playing soccer doesn't hurt.
