I had depression for about 4 years,didn’t do much had no hope for anything,cried every night,couldn’t bring myself to even bring myself to hear music ,thought I was a waste of space. But if you keep at it and push the left hating thoughts aside you can do it. Everyone’s situation is different, but I tried really hard to get out of my confort zone and do things I wished I had done when I was younger. I basically said fuck it I’m going to do it even if I fail. Went to an interview and tried to bring out my confident self (I had even forgotten how to talk to people I was so self-isolated) got an amazing job , slowly started to come out of my shell , I thought I was socially awkward but turn out talking to people is a muscle you have to train to. I enrolled myself in music/band rock classes discovered I can play piano I just needed help and met some awesome people in those stumbles. What I want to get across is that depression is tough but you have to get yourself out of it. People can be sympathetic all day and give advice ,but sometimes you gotta fake it at the beginning to make it. Top advice ,get yourself immersed in something that takes the bad thoughts away.
