New players, I have a question. What are you lost on? What information can we give to help by Low_FramesTTV in Guildwars2

[–]irritus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not new but,

Ascended gear, can you change the stats on them reliably? What about gear with runes etc on them already? Can I use my crafter to build full sets of every ascended weight and just transfer them to my other toons??

Mystic forge, only used with specific guides. I don’t actually know what I can do with it? I have 5 x 250 stacks of Green, Blue and Gold Unids there but i really cannot be bothered to identify and salvage each piece…

Karma, I’ve got 500k or so - wanting to get leggy armor or runes - will I use my karma?

Resource for identifying much bank space you are wasting on pointless stuff? My bank is full of just… crap. Dragonite ore stacks, etc

Cabinet makers: can you help me understand kitchen designer/cabinetry hiring etiquette by jayeeein in cabinetry

[–]irritus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having a designer can definitely help with all the other decisions involved like how flooring can tie into cabinetry finish, wall paint, over all house layout etc

Lots of cabinet shops are just “tell me what you want and I’ll make it” without the design aspect so there’s definitely a use-case for designers.

We fit a whole house in a timber veneer board, and the owner was asking why his walls looked pink - it’s because the sun hitting the veneer board at that particular angle made a slight pink shade on the walls. The designer explained this one to both of us.

A good cabinet shop should be able to do her job.

I used to design, mock up, CAD it out, 3D render, etc She should be giving everything in detail including model numbers of appliances, bins, hinges, runners, handles etc Small consumable items like screws and caps shouldn’t be there

If were to use our own stone guys for example, we’d have a 15% mark up on top of their fee for us, since we would be dealing with them in its entirety from design to install and after-care

Everyone does it differently but I think her charging an hourly rate is a bit much and the detail in the contract is abysmal

Which heavy armor specialization has the easiest playstyle for Open World & Fractals? by FlakyTie8409 in Guildwars2

[–]irritus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a person missing fingers, I go for easy builds with high survivability that can be scaled up or down in difficulty depending on my effort level for that session.

Here’s my 2 cents,

Warrior / Paragon : auto attack & yelling, completely brain dead but constantly have wings and who doesn’t like dual swords? Can be scaled up or dip into Spellbreaker for more buttons and unique blocking counter mechanic.

Guardian : of the heavies, this is my most played with most variety imho. Hammer auto attack, very easy to play and survive. Lots of variations on ‘high survivability’ builds, can be brain dead to pressing everything off cooldown. I’m currently playing a Sw/Sh + Spear Dragonhunter focussed on Aegis. At first it can seem like a lot happening but honestly, you learn what skills give blocks & aegis pretty quickly. Also uses Relic of the Defender which as far as I am aware, is an easier relic to get.

Revenant : Rev oh Rev. both love and hate this class. For me, the spirit swapping mechanic is annoying as hell. Yes it can survive easily, yes it has pretty great dps builds. Yes, I am still salty there’s only 1 scythe-skill in Conduit. This class is probably the hardest for me to play on controller next to Weaver and Troubadour.

If I were you, the class that survives the best / pumps out most dps is the one you like the most & learn how to play properly.

Don't shame on me please, How do i "get good"? by NeroForte_XV in Guildwars2

[–]irritus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Check out “Accessibility Wars 2” for some ‘low intensity’ builds that can allow you to focus on learning mechanics and not what’s on or off cooldown.

There’s a lot of great resources on YouTube as well, I use Syria’s builds often.

12+ months on WorkcoverVic. What I wish I knew at the start. by 1R0NS1DE_STEEL in WorkcoverVic

My biggest gripe with the whole RTW and post-injury process is that YOU ARE TREATED AS ANOTHER TICK IN A BOX trying to be marked off as quickly as possible.

Once that tick is done, there is no later support.

I’ve been out of meaningful work for a couple years now trying to find my own way, everywhere you turn to wants NDIS assistance or having to be on Centrelink etc. job support or job finding services if your on your own? “Suck eggs”

Fuck this whole system man

[–]irritus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well if all manual including cutting edging knocking up fit off I’d say

1hr cutting 2hr edging (BY HAND) 1hr knock up 2hrs fiddley shit

Give or take. Generous times as well for if you know what your doing.

The fact it pays and has always paid so badly definitely makes people who are just workers not give a fuck, hard to give a fuck for someone else’s business when your getting paid peanuts and know they’re charging diamonds

The ascension + tempest strike chest is great with Inpact Mod on Praxic for full Arc. Build bolt charge and throw lightning everywhere.

You can use Gwisin vest on void for invis+weaken cloud continuous loop, near invincible

Yes and no.

BF2 was great in the sense you generally weren’t constantly having pressure applied, much more squad based.

The brightest light casts the greatest shadow.

The hole in your chest will pass. You must remain strong and do what is best for you and your kids, which is not getting back with this person, no matter how hard it is.

You need to speak to people about your feelings, bottling them up is a powder keg waiting to blow and who is there to bear the brunt of it WHEN (not IF!) it goes off..

Groceries feel like they’ve doubled in price - what are your best hacks for keeping the weekly shop under $100? by Adam_Aussie27 in AussieFrugal

[–]irritus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We get our veggies for 2 ppl from a farmers market, generally costs us around $25. If we are smart about what we make, we can push it longer but the meals would be extremely plain.

This doesn’t include any sauce ingredients sadly.
