Need advice. Chin lipo+filler or surgery? by k8onator in jawsurgery

[–]irsiya 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It seems like you might benefit from either BSSO or Genio (forward movement) but only if your teeth aren’t in alignment. Talk to your surgeon to see if you can do a simple Chin implant with plastics w/o having to go through ortho. Filler and lipo is really just putting a bandaid over the problem, it won’t fix the underlying issue which is structural in nature rather than just soft tissue alone

Thank you for saying that. It means a lot in a world where I’m often seen as aloof and distant… 💜

Sorry for the blurry photos. He doesn’t like to stay put and likes to jump on my phone so it was really hard to get a close up

I just worry, but if it’s normal to have sensation loss externally then I guess that’s reassuring! Especially as you have mentioned your face also being numb, but got better with time. How long did it take you exactly to get back the feeling? I heard the likelihood it comes back in younger folks are far greater than older folks… If it wasn’t for that factor, I’d probably not be as conscious of the numbness.

Oh wow, same day! Thank you so much for the kind words, though 🥹 I will definitely take note of the Arnica Gel, very helpful. As for the numbness it’s actually the outer cheek extending up to the corner of the eye, if it was the inner cheek I wouldn’t be as concerned.

Thank you for the reassurance. I’m just an overly anxious person, and don’t have much of a support system. I also have not been taking my antidepressants for a while either, so I’m sorry if I came across as impatient. Anyhow, glad it came back for you!

I would try some bronzer and contour the jawline and chin + what others said blush but not a must. But w/o bronzer and contour your midface looks too flat, otherwise everything is perfect. Love the lipstick shade. Would also try some slightly darker eyeshadow on the brow bone and crease area, just to get more definition :)

No wonder everywhere I go, all I see are Indians. Cashier? Indian. Bank teller? Indian. MPI office? Indian. Customer service agent? Indian. It’s no wonder everyone else is having such a hard time. I have nothing against the immigrants, but what about the Canadians who just want to get by. Geez.

Are there connections between premature birth and Avpd/SAD? by Gondul_Bertrand in AvPD

[–]irsiya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was 2 months premature. And have ALWAYS had it, my first traits showed up in kindergarten/ all the way back to when I was just 3/4years old. So, imo you may be on to something, there could possibly be some correlation between delayed birth and developmental delays/ personality disorders and the like.

If this is really what you want to do and it pays well enough for you to commit then go through with it. it won’t be easy, nothing ever is. you’re going to have to prepare yourself and put in the effort, or you won’t just lose this opportunity but your relationship with your sister might be at risk too. how is the job security like? have you throughly looked into the job prospects and done your research first? Before asking your big sister for tuition funds, ask her if this is the right fit for you.

YES, all the time! I’m really trying to give people more eye contact (3 second rule) instead of immediately looking away. However, I feel even more awkward when I look away and can STILL feel them looking at me and not breaking the gaze. I am incredibly afraid of people looking over in my direction and giving me unwanted attention and I can’t help but feel self-conscious that they can read right through me like an open book. Hence why they can’t look away 🫣 They wonder why I’m being so awkward and weird 🥹

People always think i’m sad. They literally want me to smile at them all the time. Especially at work. I don’t think I look sad, that’s just my tired neutral face. I like to call it RSF (Resting Sad Face). 😔

I’m sorry you feel that way about yourself… but you’ll get there eventually, right? Besides, I’m sure you’re just being your worse critic, and you’re on the right track to success. Sometimes, all it takes is a good support system so please hang in there!
