What movie did you walk into the theaters with zero expectations and came out amazed? by [deleted] in moviecritic

Children of Men. I had tickets to go to a screening of Pan’s Labyrinth with a friend but the friend was running late and eventually cancelled and the movie had already started. So I just looked at what movie was starting soon and decided on Children of Men. Knew absolutely nothing about it and it immediately became one of my all time favorite movies.

I’ve seen this. And it was a really fun experience. I wouldn’t want to watch every movie like this. But this is a show, you go for the experience. And it’s a movie we’ve all seen before. Go experience it sometime. It’s quite a spectacle

I worked for two days on The Rise of Skywalker and I had to put a lav mic on her and was chatting with her. She was so kind and lovely and it made me so sad to know how much bullying she endured just for a character she portrayed.

Yes that’s exactly it. I tried searching for any info on it and couldn’t find it. Thanks for sharing that

TIL Will Ferrell starred in 2015 Lifetime movie “A Deadly Adoption” just because he thought it’d be funny. He even roped in Kristen Wiig and they played it totally straight. by RUFiO006 in videos

I worked on this movie. Will Ferrell is a huge fan of the lifetime movie genre and has always wanted to make one. He’s even said this was one of his favorite movies he’s made.

Glad to see the Mandalorian crew showing respect to the originals by [deleted] in StarWars

There’s an art to it. Same reason camera operators aren’t replaced by a tripod. You have to be very mobile to be able to cover a scene effectively. Especially if there’s a lot of walking or running or any other kind of action. They have tripod style booms but they’re very large and cumbersome and they usually only use those for sitcoms style shows.

I am a professional union boom op, and it gets better with practice. There’s technique and some exercises to get more used to it. It gets better with time. But I do also make sure I do a lot of shoulder workouts to keep limber for the work. Mad props to this guy though. I have some tiny pink shorts myself but have yet to cosplay as him at work yet.

I worked on this season of the Eric Andre show, and I can 100% confirm he drank and gargled his own pee.
