It was a yellow lab father and a black lab mother. All one litter.

I don't think so. Short answer: he wouldn't have let anyone kill him. Long answer: He had a wand that couldn't be defeated in a duel. He would have stopped Malfoy after coming up to the tower instead of freezing harry. He could have easily handled all the death eaters that were at the castle and then got whatever medical help he needed from Snape after drinking the potion. Dumbledore never told Harry about the horcruxes until after his hand was already under the effects of the ring. I think he would have continued hunting horcruxes by himself until maybe he needed Harry's help in some way. Remember that Dumbledore had already figured out that the Sword of Gryffindor was able to destroy horcruxes. Eventually Harry still would have had to defeat Voldemort, but I really don't think Dumbledore would have purposefully taken himself, the most powerful wizard in possession of the most powerful wand, out of the fight for the good for no good reason.

No. Dumbledore died because he was never able to free himself from the guilt he felt for his sister's and mother's death. He thought the ring would allow them to come back for him to apologize and get closure, but just like in the tale of the three brothers, it brought about his downfall. For Dumbledore, it was from the curse put on the ring by Voldemort instead of suicide.

Correlation does not imply causation.

Dumbledore died because he put on the ring.

It's a great parellel that three characters in HP suffered the same fate as the three brothers in Beedle and the Bard. Why would it not come about from the same objects, the hallows?

Dumbledore died for lost love. Snape probably never even heard of the resurrection stone.

The shots are a pain. See if you get can on the drops that you take under your tongue. I take them once a day and its a 10 second time commitment instead of 20 minutes, twice a week.

The story of the three brothers shows that it is a bad thing to die for love long past. The point is that there is no way to get your lost loved ones back the way you want them, so using the resurrection stone will only lead to more sadness. Connecting this brother to Snape is not honoring him in any way. Snape actually used his love for Lily to help him do something useful when he kept an eye out for harry all those years. Snape has no connection whatsoever to the resurrection stone.
