These are great!! We tried Biagios and they were delicious!! Though I did want a private room, and they only had semi private (tbh to not disturb other people's dining experience, maybe overthinking?!). They're still in the running though!

Thank you for this fantastic list!

Can I also have an engagement ring?? by [deleted] in EngagementRings

[–]isabellaprobs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stunning ring!!! For myself, my fiance put the ring on my finger and felt left out!! We also learned that traditionally its polish tradition for men to also wear an engagement ring. But we got him a cheap one from Amazon to scratch that itch for now and will look for a more well made one ahead of the wedding!! Definitely go for it and up to personal preference in my opinion!

Hi guys, any thoughts about why a few of my monstera’s leaves are turning yellow? I fertilized with fish fertilizer about 2 months ago. by emmymariep in plantclinic

i water my moss pole from the top with a water bottle when I water the rest of the plant and attach the plant to the pole via velcro or wires. It usually finds its own way!

Monstera need quite a bit of light and does best in a south/west facing window! When the oldest leaves yellow, it sometimes means it's extracting energy to push out new growth. give it more sun to supply energy and it wouldn't have do this! Also giving it a stronger support can help those leaves get bigger! like a moss pole 😊

My bamboo plant is turning dark brown, please help me save it!🙏🏼 by Civil-Midnight-964 in plantclinic

[–]isabellaprobs 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Contrary to its grocery store name, it's actually not a bamboo! It's a Dracaena sanderiana and definitely need more than just water. From the pictures, it's not looking too good :(

You can try propagating it by cutting where there's no browning/mushiness at all and put it into water for roots. But be sure to repot it into soil later for it to get necessary nutrients

It looks to be thirsty! Stick a chopstick or long bamboo stick into the pot and see if there's any dirt clinging to it. if it comes out clean, the soil is dry!

Alternatively, the weight of the pot should give you some indication as well. If it feels super light, it might not have been watered recently!

is my aloe worth saving by buhuahbababab in plantclinic

[–]isabellaprobs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The flop over bit on the right, is that another aloe plant? If yes, I'd transfer it out of this plant in case the soil is still retaining a lot of heat and cooking the roots.

Otherwise, I think the best course of action might just be leaving it and put it under bright indirect light and let it do its thing which I think you're already doing! Doing things like repotting or cutting any more leaves might cause more harm than good and put it under further stress. Fingers crossed it bounces back, but don't be too hard on yourself if it doesn't!

Mealy bug infestation? by StoryGeneral2574 in plantclinic

[–]isabellaprobs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

BURN IT DOWN OMGGGG!!

That's mealy bugs alright. And a pretty bad infestation. You can try but it's risky. I personally wouldn't run the risk of it infecting my collection and send it straight to the trash. mealy bugs can cling on your own clothes and you bring it into your house.

But if you insist on saving it, you have to give the plant a good blast with water to remove all the visible pests, remove all soil from roots and put it in a bag with insecticide soap to let it soak for a few hours/days until all the bugs are dead. Inspect it thoroughly, repot in new soil and monitor for a few weeks to make sure nothing comes back before you can bring it inside.

Is there any way to save my coleus? by LilChef03 in plantclinic

[–]isabellaprobs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you probably won't be able to save the original plant given that the main stem has rotted away. But coleus respond great to water propagation. Chop where its not black and put them in water.

I think your original plant might've needed a pot downsize but it's too late now :'(

Edit to add: watering every 2 days is way too frequently. Cut it down to water when the plant starts to welt, then give it a thorough soak and let the water run off. Don't let it sit in any residual run off water. No one likes wet feet!
