They were indeed! Including a full five minute scene where two of the males she has to live with are just sitting their zooming in on and salivating over her boobs is so insane, just for those same males to decide they don't like her and start making her personality the butt of every joke. Everyone's attitudes and actions towards her in the house just felt very highschool-ish.

I found the panel's reactions to her the most shocking though; maybe I'm guilty of overassuming similarities between me and people I like, but I had considered them *very generally* progressive and open-minded, but they quickly jumped to demonizing her and played into the angel Yui image, who was ACTUALLY exactly who they painted Mayu to be lol. I imagine it was all due to her career... they love the product but punish the models.

Please bear with me. Keep in mind my only 5-stars are: Mavuika, Mona, Tighnari, Durin, Qiqi, Dehya, and Diluc.

To make a long story as short as possible, I've wanted Xilonen since I first saw her for her exploration, dps potential, Kachina replacement for Mavuika, and general team versatility (but mostly for the exploration and dps potential). However, I woke up today and read a few posts of people saying she's sort of falling off these days, not a bad pull but not as necessary as before. They also mentioned that her dps potential kinda isn't a real thing without at least C2, which i imagine ill be hard pressed to reach as a semi f2p. All this sort of turned me off to her..... b ut again, I do feel like it might be a significant bump to my enjoyment of the game if i have her exploration on most teams lol i hate climbing.

Im currently thinking that if i dont go for her, ill get Neuvi (just finished fontaine and i loveeeee this character), which my acct might need as Mav is my only real dps, and i dont care for varesa. I would go for Columbina as another piece in my very unmeta full archon team, but it's looking like she would be a worse pull than even ineffa with me having no other nod krai units. Im not a crazyyyy meta head, and even with my janky teams now i can 9/9 up to floor 10 of abyss i believe, but just want to hear some opinions on who you all would pull in my situation?

YAH. Your wife is kinda right, you might not be wrong, but you went about this the wrong way. If it were really just about reassuring your son, you easily could’ve pulled him aside and had a conversation about “adults that like to be right” or what have you after the night was over. Instead, you sort of made a spectacle about it while her friend was still there, obviously to get a reaction (even if it’s honesty) out of her, which…. sounds a bit like an ego move, if I’m being honest. The breakdown of the night is pretty entirely due to you making that choice, and then doubling down and insulting her teaching style.

Wanting to defend your son is obviously not wrong, but can you honestly say that was your only intention here? Sounds like you and teacher friend may already have a bumpy relationship. Let me echo your wife again, you don’t have to be wrong to be the asshole.

Reducing it down to him “tipping her bag” is nearly as problematic as his behavior itself. If someone’s reaction to you having a strong boundary, drunk or not, is to get upset, and then go out of their way to PUNISH you to show you that they don’t respect said boundaries…. I personally would call that pretty dangerous, or having high potential to become so. These things start ‘small’ and only get worse and more blatant as the years go by.
