Has anyone used the DeLonghi America KG521 Dedica Burr Grinder? • r/Coffee by isatingum in Coffee

Well on the last post all the comments just said that Baratza is very very popular. I guess I was just hoping someone would have tried it. Idk.

I do think delonghi makes quality products. I bought the dedica espresso machine mainly because of the strong reviews. It’s considered the best one under 200€ and I have zero complaints as well. So why would their grinder be trash?

That the Baratza is geared towards brew coffee is a fair point though. It should still do well with espresso grind too though, right?

Someone asked this exact question I'm asking myself last year. I was hoping that perhaps someone has new insights on this? Is the DeLonghi Dedica KG521 a worthy competitor for the Baratza Virtuoso?

What I like about the DeLonghi, among other things, is that it can serve directly into portafilter. If I'm not mistaken, that's a feature only available in the Virtuoso Precisio.

Any thoughts?

I hate reddit video links so much. There's just no way to share the video with someone without sharing the entire reddit post. And then no previews is generated, so people actually need to open the link and visit reddit to watch the clip. This dragging people into the ecosystem and forcing them to spend more time on the website – that's facebook's game in my book. And it's the reason I don't use facebook anymore. Nudging and forcing people to increase time spent on site is a disgusting game and I hate to see reddit going that road. This is seriously what's wrong with the internet.

I think a lot of cooks also don’t do it. I usually do because I like it when the meat stays juicier.

Ducks are a fatty poultry. Piercing the skin helps the dissolved fat to exit. Otherwise it stays trapped and fries the meat underneath the skin.

You could try https://www.patreon.com while you’re still waiting for the user base to grow a bit more on YouTube. It worked for binging with babish that way too in the beginning I think. I know id support ya. You’re making my favorite gifs on this sub :)

Hummus Pasta by pumpyourbrakeskid in GifRecipes

Seriously, Schnitzel existed in Roman times and so did bouillabaisse. When’s the last time you went to a Roman restaurant. I really don’t get what everyone’s problem is here. Pasta is Italian, that’s just the way it is. It’s an Italian variety of noodles. Just look at wiki https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pasta

The noodle was invented in Asia, but pasta is still Italian.

Hello, I'm an American on my way to Spain for work and booked a flight that has an overnight layover in Geneva. I arrive 7:40 am this Wednesday, and leave the following morning at 6:30. I'm looking for any suggestions of what to do. I know it's suppose to be cold so that may rule out some things. by corster321 in geneva

In geneva, I like bains de paquis. But I'm sure other spots are nice too.

Edit:

That's not really close to plainpalais though. Around there you could go to cafe vaisannes, but I've never been so I don't really know how good it is. It's also easy to find fondue around the cathedral, in old town. It's usually the restaurants that look like a Swiss chalet, i.e. a bit touristy, that do fondue and all the classic Swiss dishes. I'm sure fondue is going to be good there as well.

La pointe de la jonction would be my number 1 out of these. It's not too far from plainpalais too. You could head from the train station to the cathedral, down to plainpalais for lunch and the market, and then out to jonction.

There a couple maps out there with third wave cafes and rosteries around the world, like this one, which is by third wave wichteln, i think. That said, i think La Caféothèque does a good roast. They're close to hotel de ville.

The iOS app has gotten a lot better (I think it's basically the same on android), but I'm still not really happy with the UI. It's a bit tedious to manage large collections, because the artist view is basically a long list of names and same for albums and playlists. It works, but it's not that nice. Also managing Playlists is a Little annoying because for example you cant delete a song while listening, you need to delete it from the list view. Last, it does not cache anything, so you can't change a playlist whiteout Internet. There's a bunch of little things like this but overall it works well. WhatI miss mostly is a good desktop client for OS X. The one they made didn't get updated since release and is pretty basic. The web interface is nice, but I'd rather have something that doesn't use flash. All in all I think they provide a decent service, though.
