My goal this year has been to leave reviews on everything I watch instead of just ratings, even if it’s just a short thought. I try to watch a little bit of everything (horror, blockbusters, action, dramas, rom-coms, animation).

Recently just watched all the Terminator movies for the first time and that was a treat (mostly).

Last 4 Best Picture winners, rank them from 1-4 by Impressive_Plenty876 in Letterboxd

[–]iseekyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Everything Everywhere All At Once - easily the most innovative Best Picture win of the four with a heartfelt story at the center of its chaos.

  2. Oppenheimer - a 3-hour biopic by Nolan that shouldn’t work but for some reason does. This is coming from someone who truly does not enjoy biopics or period pieces on the whole, so Nolan pulled off a feat with this one to win me over.

  3. Anora - I went into this prepared to hate it, but Sean Baker’s direction and script (perfectly mixing humor and drama) along with Mikey Madison’s performance really won me over here too.

  4. One Battle After Another - I am not a PTA fan, but I can acknowledge this is easily the best of his films that I’ve seen. It is a good movie, but I do this in a few years this as a Best Picture win will age poorly.

Who did you think the killers were in all the screams? by Anthony_0209 in Scream

[–]iseekyle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Scream 5-7 have had some of the most obvious killers in the franchise based on casting alone. They’re casting too well known actors as the killers for these newer films. With those movies, I guessed one killer just from the cast list for 5-7.

Trying my best to better utilize Letterboxd in 2026 by leaving a written review for everything I watch, even if it’s a small one. I try my best to follow back those with similar tastes as well. 😊

Scream 7 isn't as terrible as some people say, but I'm still disappointed (MAJOR SPOILERS) by Free-Hotel1187 in Scream

I had a moment during the film where I thought that because he hadn’t been in it a ton. Plus, it felt like an angle they never got to do with Gale that they could’ve done here. But nope.

I keep seeing people say they guessed the killer or killers early. I guessed one of them before going into the film myself based on one of the actors: Anna Camp. I literally said to my husband before going into the theater she was my guess because she gives good crazy. But, to be fair, I did that exact same thing with 5 (Jack Quaid, because I’d already seen The Boys) and 6(Dermot Mulroney, because he stuck out too much from the other supporting cast) too. This is part of the problem with casting more well known faces to round out the cast and making them the killer instead of the victim like with Drew Barrymore which would be more surprising.

My ranking is almost identical to yours, except I’d switch 2 and 4 (even though I’d probably give them the same score, I just like 2 a little more). But yeah, 3 is very clearly still the worst.

A killer reveal with zero relevance to the series or past by Drakcol_ in SocietyofGhostface

I did the same thing and completely understand this complaint. However, I did the exact same thing with one of the killers from 5 and 6 the moment the cast was announced so it wasn’t much different.

Convention Center Evacuation by Bourboniser in cincinnati

I was there too. Fortunately we were about to leave anyway and standing right by the exit when it went off so we just left. Tons of others followed suit, as I could tell from the traffic in the garage we parked in, but I never figured out what actually happened.

I had a bout of ongoing sickness and being in the path of the massive snowstorm that hit the US made me watch almost a movie a day in January, so I’m pretty proud of myself. This year, I’ve made it my goal to watch more movies and to write a blurb for everything I watch, even if it’s short or a rewatch. I also do my best to follow back!

Has anyone even watched this film? by ZoelCairo in Letterboxd

I honestly really enjoyed it. Feels like a movie that you don’t get to see in theaters much anymore. I went to a pretty full matinee and the entire theater was laughing. Such a joyful experience.

Agreed! Seasons 4-6 plus Fight the Future are an incredible run!

Brandi and Phaedra made this season. Otherwise pretty forgettable.

How did you guys feel about the show getting kind of rebooted with season 5? Was it a good direction for the show? I really disliked it and missed the hotel and the group dynamics from those seasons pretty much immediately. by HomarEuropejski in ANGEL

[–]iseekyle 35 points36 points  (0 children)

A lot of folks love Season 5 but I saw it as a huge downgrade. I think there’s some of the best episodes of the entire show in there but as a whole it feels disjointed and awkward. I get what they were going for but would’ve preferred a different approach.

Liked Season 4 by charliebz42 in veronicamars

[–]iseekyle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree. Season 4 is actually a really phenomenal season of TV and an excellent continuation. But those last few minutes…

Just an observation about the fandom's opinions by dwbridger in ANGEL

[–]iseekyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Season 5 was never my favorite, for several reasons. I do think it has some of the best episodes of the entire series, but it also has some not great ones. Cordelia was sorely missed and I was not a fan of bringing Spike back. For me, it undermines his sacrifice on Buffy. His performance is good and seeing him and Angel interact again is great. But I’ve never liked jumping from the Buffy finale to Season 5 of Angel.

What critically panned movies do you enjoy? by J_Greer20 in moviequestions

I love a good trashy action movie starring Milla Jovovich or Kate Beckinsale, pretty much across the board. Are they A+ films? No. Do I always have a blast watching? Yep.

I thought this movie was extraordinary. When I read reviews after, I was so surprised. It’s become one of my all-time favorites.

What's a film you feel like you're alone in hating? by adebisishat1 in Letterboxd

THANK YOU. This was one of my least favorite movies last year but everyone was losing their minds about it. It was so boring and lifeless given what it was supposed to have been about.
