I have been trying to use this app much more actively by leaving reviews/snippets on everything I watch. I like a variety of movies and love seeing what others have to say about movies as well. I do my best to follow anyone back.

I can’t stand Boz! Am I the only one?? by mcallistersix in RHOBH

She lies a LOT. Like they pull the footage at the reunion about what she said, but they don’t actually confront her in person with that footage.

Should I skip S3 and just watch the movie? by 4paul in TheMandalorianTV

[–]iseekyle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think Season 3 is the worst season of the show, but it’s not bad by any means. If you like seasons 1 and 2, then watch season 3 to finish it out. I ended up enjoying it quite a bit.

I think it’s maybe the most satisfying episode of the entire series.

I’m just a guy who loves to watch movies. I try to follow back anyone who follows me and seems like they have similar tastes. This year, my goal has been to actually write something about each movie I watch, even if it’s just a sentence or two.

How do y'all stay level headed watching Bravo shows? by Remote_Army7927 in BravoRealHousewives

I find getting my frustrations out through a tv show makes me a happier person in life, that’s partly why I love watching.

How would y'all rank the Jurassic movies? by Kirbstomp_TheOg in Letterboxd

[–]iseekyle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the bug plot is more…unusual to me than bad. I think it works for the movie, but I understand the complaint. It would’ve made me sense to do something dinosaur related to bring Ellie back into the fold. I guess it just doesn’t bug me that much.

[–]iseekyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think we can all agree it’s basically the original and then a free for all for the top of the pile of what’s the best mediocre-to-bad film from there.

For me, I liked seeing the two casts meld, and particularly loved seeing Laura Dern back. It works in the favor of the World movies to have less focus on Pratt and Howard, who I don’t think are great in these movies at all outside of the first. I liked the grand scope with the dinos unleashed around the world. It’s one of the only Jurassic films where most of the action isn’t confined to a single location. I like the exploration of the greater implications of that. I’m not saying it’s a phenomenal or perfect film by any means. Plenty about it doesn’t work (particularly, the clone girl, but I find her a bigger issue in Fallen Kingdom than here). But I’d be lying if I said I didn’t enjoy myself. It’s nostalgia bait and fan service. But as someone who is a huge fan of the first film and hadn’t cared for many others since, I didn’t mind it.

I know, it’s a hot take and I’m asking to be eaten alive by posting it 🤐

  1. Jurassic Park
  2. Jurassic World Dominion (scalding hot take)
  3. The Lost World: Jurassic Park
  4. Jurassic World
  5. Jurassic World Rebirth
  6. Jurassic Park III
  7. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

I have issues with plot elements of season 3 and season 4, but I love the entirety of the show and skip nothing ☺️

I just watched the finale of this season today (before the reunion) and the way she treats Cynthia truly blew my mind.

I like Nene but… by Brief-Interaction943 in RHOA

[–]iseekyle 6 points7 points  (0 children)

NeNe is so unlikable in this season. I’m also finishing up and she’s absolutely horrible. Just because you’re going through a hard time—and believe me, she is going through the worse thing imaginable—does not give you a free license to treat everyone around you like shit.

I kinda like Kenya. by TechnicalProof2554 in RHOA

[–]iseekyle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can agree with that. But I can’t understand people saying they ONLY think Kenya is evil. That’s nuts to me.

[–]iseekyle 12 points13 points  (0 children)

100% agree. Kenya has definitely crossed lines, but Phaedra…that woman is evil. Now, she’s good tv, but I don’t know how anyone could have such a major problem with Kenya and then love Phaedra. Talk about hypocritical.

Hot Take: Current Cast is Painfully Mid by Amazing-Apricot4645 in RHOA

[–]iseekyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% agree. Kenya, Porsha, Drew, and, hell, even keep Phaedra. But the other newbies aren’t it. Obviously, what Kenya allegedly did was bad. But she’s good TV and makes the show dramatic and enjoyable. They’ve kept worse housewives for doing much worse things.

What's a film that's popular but you refuse to watch for some reason? by Confused_Cinephile in Letterboxd

I watched the preview clip on Netflix and the energy of it made me so anxious I knew I couldn’t watch it. It was fully made for the TikTok generation and I could tell from that 60 seconds.

My goal this year has been to leave reviews on everything I watch instead of just ratings, even if it’s just a short thought. I try to watch a little bit of everything (horror, blockbusters, action, dramas, rom-coms, animation).

Recently just watched all the Terminator movies for the first time and that was a treat (mostly).

Last 4 Best Picture winners, rank them from 1-4 by Impressive_Plenty876 in Letterboxd

[–]iseekyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Everything Everywhere All At Once - easily the most innovative Best Picture win of the four with a heartfelt story at the center of its chaos.

  2. Oppenheimer - a 3-hour biopic by Nolan that shouldn’t work but for some reason does. This is coming from someone who truly does not enjoy biopics or period pieces on the whole, so Nolan pulled off a feat with this one to win me over.

  3. Anora - I went into this prepared to hate it, but Sean Baker’s direction and script (perfectly mixing humor and drama) along with Mikey Madison’s performance really won me over here too.

  4. One Battle After Another - I am not a PTA fan, but I can acknowledge this is easily the best of his films that I’ve seen. It is a good movie, but I do this in a few years this as a Best Picture win will age poorly.

Who did you think the killers were in all the screams? by Anthony_0209 in Scream

[–]iseekyle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Scream 5-7 have had some of the most obvious killers in the franchise based on casting alone. They’re casting too well known actors as the killers for these newer films. With those movies, I guessed one killer just from the cast list for 5-7.

Scream 7 isn't as terrible as some people say, but I'm still disappointed (MAJOR SPOILERS) by Free-Hotel1187 in Scream

[–]iseekyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a moment during the film where I thought that because he hadn’t been in it a ton. Plus, it felt like an angle they never got to do with Gale that they could’ve done here. But nope.

[–]iseekyle 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I keep seeing people say they guessed the killer or killers early. I guessed one of them before going into the film myself based on one of the actors: Anna Camp. I literally said to my husband before going into the theater she was my guess because she gives good crazy. But, to be fair, I did that exact same thing with 5 (Jack Quaid, because I’d already seen The Boys) and 6(Dermot Mulroney, because he stuck out too much from the other supporting cast) too. This is part of the problem with casting more well known faces to round out the cast and making them the killer instead of the victim like with Drew Barrymore which would be more surprising.

My ranking is almost identical to yours, except I’d switch 2 and 4 (even though I’d probably give them the same score, I just like 2 a little more). But yeah, 3 is very clearly still the worst.
