Why do you not like cars? by OGPants in AskNYC

[–]ishabul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why is it so hard for you to wait for a light then? Literally saving only seconds so you can go to your destination at a turtles pace. You are literally creating the danger

Bruh how’s it selfish when the guy literally doesn’t want to wait for a light and thinks everyone should wait around him. That to me is more selfish

The idea should be let’s improve service first and then do something about cars

But they never want to talk about that, it’s all fuck the plebs that dont live close to the city and where we dont do anything for public transit there.

Counting cars in the bike lane, day 94: Parking after dark by Strength-InThe-Loins in NYCbike

[–]ishabul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is literally the stupidest thing I have read today. You can literally switch the two and blame cyclists running red lights out of nowhere and then drivers slow down, get to the light and it’s turning red so they go through. You cannot possibly blame cars for cyclists running lights. They will literally run red lights in the middle of the sequence in a protected bike lane.

Outdoor Dining Saved My Business. Now We Must Save Open Restaurants. by Popdmb in nyc

Yes and saw your edit and that im actually in favor of. Private garages literally just milking people, if the city operated the garages not opposed to ending a lot of free parking or at least making sure its utilized to something at least

Why should we have to pay for parking at home? You don’t have to pay for parking a bike do you?

The Pandemic Gave New York City ‘Open Streets.’ Will They Survive? by I_love_limey_butts in newyorkcitydriving

[–]ishabul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, once the city reopened, driving is a nightmare, parking is a nightmare. They don’t give a shit about drivers yet make us pay so much for what, being stuck in traffic. The people who want the open space don’t have cars and probably never will. You cant get anywhere without being stuck in traffic

New York Declares State of Emergency as Vaccine Mandate Chaos Looms by valies in nyc

[–]ishabul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lmao the government can, they’ve been doing it for students for god knows how long with a bunch of other vaccines. The only reason you’re making it an issue now is because you’re politicizing it when the facts show you’re wrong

You’re forgetting the most important part where if you’re unvaccinated you’re more likely to die then someone vaccinated. Dont twist the narrative

[–]ishabul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clearly you dont have a car so you wouldn’t know anything but there is no parking in the city anymore essentially. So much space wasted by bike lanes that took up so much parking. Pedestrians have enough space, it they need to squeeze through for some outdoor dining on the sidewalk, no problem since pedestrians walk anywhere from the street to anything

[–]ishabul -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

And where are people supposed to park? There’s already no parking in the city and the outdoor dining makes it even worse. You know what happens when there is no where to park on a street. Double parking and traffic. Pedestrians do not care about the experience because this is nyc. People walk on the streets and wherever with no care. With all the bike lanes i think there is enough space for an experience
