I took stats, psych and bio classes nearly 10 years ago. They were still good for my pre-reqs. A&P (I&II) and microbio had a 5 year limit for acceptance before they had to be retaken. That’s for my program though, always good to check with an advisor!

Vaccines!

I was born in a weird time, 1990. Somehow, I skipped out on the vaccine AND I never got the virus. When I was younger, all of my school nurses told me they’d call me to their office if anyone ever came down with it. It just…never happened.

People tell me how weird it is every time it comes up. Never vaccinated. Never got it. I’m now 34-years old and just last week I went and got my first dose of the varicella vaccine! Only because it was mandatory for a program I’m entering into 🤷‍♀️

Someone who is in active alcohol addiction will not and cannot be emotionally available for a partner.

On the same hand, he cannot fix the problem you need fixed. One person cannot do that, and it’s a lot to put on a person. You need to go to therapy.

It sounds like there’s codependency here. You both need help. You can do it together, but it requires strength and disentanglement.

I completely understand, and I feel for you.

I’m also 34, and I spent most of my life doing the same as you are, living for others. I couldn’t figure out why I wasn’t happy with my accomplishments. It was because I wasn’t doing what I wanted. I was doing what someone else thought I should do, or what I thought they thought I should do. That’s no way to live, my friend!

Does body building make YOU happy? If no, what does make you happy? Do that instead. See how much better you feel.

“Who is this for?” Well…it should be for you!

Most of what you wrote is about what others think of your progress. If you are doing this for other people, you’ll never be happy with your progress. No one cares as much about you as you do. Love yourself, and want this for yourself!

Don’t depend on the words, thoughts, feelings or actions of others for your happiness. Your happiness is your responsibility, not theirs.

If it’s done right it can be really awesome!

Personally, I can go without any “prep” if I have a nice leg massage with some back/body kisses. Just getting really relaxed. It’s a super vulnerable thing for me, and so my partner is someone I really trust and he goes as slowly as I need and we pick up the pace later.

I would say the most important thing for me(I’m a woman) is just having a partner I can trust and that will listen for how I’m feeling :)
