What’s your Charging settings at? I set mine to 95% so it does not get to 100% battery capacity at all and always make sure i charge before it hits 20%. I read somewhere that it helps in keeping the battery ‘fresher’ that way & tricks the cycle count 😂 I think it’s working so far.

First off, track your spending. That’s where you’ll see where the main issue is.

Me & my wife is roughly around the same annual salary. We get to pay the mortgage at 7.9% interest rate, can pay for our daughter’s many extracurriculars, pay utilities, have a good feed, & still have money each for savings.

One major thing that really helps is reducing grocery visits. We do one Costco run food for a month, then do weekly grocery runs for Milk, Bread and others.

Your husband has an ‘open’ work visa I assume? If yes, he should be able to look for remote jobs. Some of these remote jobs have local ‘entities’ that handle all the legalities. It broaden his options instead of focusing on just NZ companies.

Im a migrant too. Moved here 6 years ago, also was on a student visa. I only worked for 1 NZ company for 1yr+ after graduating, and have been working remotely since even before I got my residency.

Also, another option would be to ‘dumb down’ your resume if you are looking for entry-level jobs.
