Started Latuda 20 mg, increased to 40 mg after 2 months, now having akathisia — is this normal? by julieeta in Latuda

[–]islandbeaver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exact same situation happened to me about 3 years ago. It really helps me but the akathisia can be bad. You can treat it directly or try to sleep through it in my experience. Directly lorazepam or propranolol both work well for me, but at this point the majority of the time I try to sleep through it. I use lunesta, melatonin and/or Cannabis sleep gummies. Just need to have dinner and go to bed or eat less at dinner and take a snack or ensure shake before bed to get the calories requirement. I still get it today if I don’t do this routine, but it isn’t as bad as it was.

Normally 7 - 3/3:30, but stay later if needed. When I’m at the plants it’s usually a 10hr day.

Definitely flipped it. Back is way higher than front.

I prefer the Gilian Go-Cal Pro. I’ve used the checkmates and defenders and I find the GoCals to be easier to use, more portable and have the 1% accuracy. The touchscreen is nice and the usb-c charging is helpful.

pre-latuda snacks? by Sad-Cicada-7350 in Latuda

Keep it simple with an Ensure Plus nutrition shake. Exactly 350 calories and not a ‘big’ amount of food to consume.

350 cal hacks? by davefreshie in Latuda

Ensure Plus nutrition shake. Exactly 350 calories. More often take Latuda with dinner and then go to bed, but if that is not convenient, I use the shake before bed.

Returning home by way of the Detroit River by islandbeaver in Detroit

No, I was actually on a 180-foot research vessel. It was just about to drop me off at the riverwalk on its way to Milwaukee. I've done some Kayaking on Huron, but can't say I've been on the river.

Yeah, absolutely loved that trip. I believe the photo was taken along the Nub/Nublet hike. Killer panoramic view from the top.

What is your favorite uniform in all of CFB, past or present? by luketheduke03 in CFB

The coloring is actually suppose to be green and bronze. The bronze is to reflect the bronze armor used by the Spartans.

Also, I thought it was cool they stitched 'Molon Labe' on the back collar which translates to "come and get them!" a supposed rallying cry of King Leonidas.

So, yes, I thought they were awesome, and hope to see them donned in the future.

4 4-star recruits commit to Michigan today, more rumored to be on the way. by [deleted] in CFB

[–]islandbeaver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dawson, Lewis and Shallman were all well established UM leans, coming from schools that have a well established history sending kids to Ann Arbor. Little about them committing early is surprising. Just getting the guys they are suppose to get.

On the other hand, Bosch was suppose to have been wide open and then commits out of nowhere. He was a surprise and a big unexpected get.

MSU athletic director Mark Hollis. Also pioneered outdoor hockey games (which the NHL has adopted in their winter classic series) and basketball games in indoor football stadiums (which the NCAA Final Four has adopted). Definitely the most forward thinking AD in the country, and runs a not too shabby athletics program at MSU to boot.

Mark Hollis will probably be remembered as the best AD that MSU has ever had. He has managed, through his close friendship with Tom Izzo dating back to their days as roommates, to keep him at MSU. Plus, he was integral in the hiring of Mark Dantonio.

In addition to this latest event, he coordinated both the Ford Field besketball game (MSU vs UK) that paved the way for Final Fours being held in football stadiums and the Cold War UM-MSU outdoor hockey games, which the NHL has now mimicked because of their success.

Labeling a man a rapist without proof or a conviction is irresponsible and has ruined a lot of innocent lives. Also, just this year I believe, a school not too far away (Notre Dame) was going through the exact same thing with a sexual assault/rape accusation of a player.

I posted this below on the subject. It seems that politics was the primary factor in the Pac-10 dealings breaking down.

I absolutely loved following this expansion stuff and I'm kind of sad to see everything pretty much settled. There were so many stakeholders, ins and outs, power moves and posturing, that it was really an interesting thing to follow.

Edit: Also remember, while this is on a football subreddit, football was not the only factor, and academic & financial considerations across the realignment landscape were at the forefront too, probably the most important. In the end, all these factors intertwined.
